These days at our Shar Delhi room. We are working on repairing all of the bathrooms. This project will take around a month and a half to finish. When this is completed then everything will be clean and in good repair. So please know our dear Dharma bro's and sis' you are most welcome to Shar Delhi.

A bit of guesthouse history. This photo, taken in 2008, is of the first new group of Nepali youths on their way to Shar Gaden Monastery to become monks. Maybe you can recognize some faces in this picture :)

A very big project this week and everyone helped. This will help very much to reduce the dust in the rooms and give some protection from the rain, sun and heat.
We will soon have new groups of Nepali children coming that will be going to the monastery to begin a new life as monks.We are trying our best to keep improving our environment, and are very grateful for any support from our friends.

Daily maintenance and some new additions. As you know safe water is always a concern and we got a new water filter system for the kitchen and a drinking water machine. Thank you deeply for your support and we hope you will please continue to help us improve our environment. The ultimate goal is that in time we will be able to help support the monastery by our revenue, so by helping us now you are in essence helping Shar Gaden Monastery support the 600+ monks that live there.

This week we got very busy with monk guests who are traveling to Nepal and other places, and one Tibetan family also. It is always so nice to see our friends here and to be able to be of service for them.

For those of you who do not know me, I have previously been with administration at Shar Gaden Monastery, and at monastery's request came here to Delhi run the center and do this repair and restore project. We humbly request you to consider if you are able to help sponsor our efforts. And hopefully we will be welcoming all of you here in the future.

Shar Gaden Namling is a cultural landmark facing many repair and restoration needs. This project will help us to continue to provide safe and healthy refuge to our precious Lamas and monks and create revenue generating areas to become self sufficient.
