🌸 Join us for Vesak (Buddha Purnima) Celebrations! 🌸
Dear Dhamma Friends, 🙏
We warmly invite you to join us on May 1st to celebrate the highly auspicious occasion of Vesak.
What is Vesak? ☸️
Vesak is the most sacred day in the Buddhist calendar. It is a time to commemorate three momentous events in the life of Gautama Buddha: His birth, His supreme enlightenment, and His parinirvana (passing away).
The Merit of Virtuous Deeds ✨
On this holy day, it is taught that the karmic results of our actions are multiplied immensely. Engaging in virtuous activities—such as taking precepts, praying, and making offerings—is a profound way to accumulate great merit, purify the mind, and cultivate boundless loving-kindness. It is the perfect time to generate positive energy and dedicate it to world peace and the liberation of others.
Programme for May 1st -Friday
The ceremonies will be led by Drupon Gyalten Samten.
🌅 Sunrise: Taking of Mahayana Precepts
🪔 6:30 PM: Prayers and recitation of the Metta Sutra
What to Bring: 🪷
Please feel free to bring along flowers, lights (candles or diyas), and any other offerings you wish to make at the altar.
May the merit generated be dedicated to the welfare and liberation of all sentient beings. 🙏
We look forward to practicing together!
