Day Three Reflections: Words in the Garden 2024 in collaboration with IILM and IIC.

Day three of our enriching event commenced with a heartfelt book discussion on "Pranab My Father: A Daughter Remembers," featuring Ms Sharmistha Mukherjee and Ms Nidhi Razdan.

The session offered profound insights into Sharmistha Mukherjee's personal journey, her father's legacy, and their cherished bond.

Following this, the soul-stirring Urdu poetry session captivated the audience, as Aqib Sarkar, Faizan Moquim, Pallav Mishra, Safeer Siddiquie, Shanaz Rizvi, and Shehla Kaleen recited poignant Ghazal poetry and Nazm. Their evocative expressions left us in awe, deepening our appreciation for the beauty of language.

The event reached its crescendo with the electrifying performance of Rudraksham, a unique percussion string ensemble led by P Vetri Bhoopati (Mridangam, Konnakol), Anil Kumar Mishra (Sarangi, Vocals) Arvind Narayanan (Violin), Amir Khan (Tabla) and M Sriram (Cajon, Konnakol).
Their dynamic rendition mesmerised the audience, engaging us in the rhythmic magic of their music.

As we bid farewell to another year of Words in the Garden, we're reminded of the beauty and power of artistic expression.

Thank you to all participants, performers, and attendees for making this year's event truly memorable.

Here's to many more moments of inspiration and creativity!
