While the rest of the world has been celebrating Christmas and getting ready for the New Year, people following Punjabiyat and Sikh Panth all across the world have been remembering Chaar Sahibzaade’s sacrifices. Sahibzaade Ajit Singh Ji, Jujhar Singh Ji, Zorawar Singh Ji, and Fateh Singh Ji, the four sons of the tenth Guru, Guru Gobind Singh ji, were martyred between December 21 and December 28, 1704 AD. Every person revering and following sikh traditions has a distinct memory of these times, and they recall the Sahibzaade with great vigour, valour and profound sorrow. Every year 25th December is celebrated with much pomp and shown as Christmas Day to remember the birth of Jesus Christ, who Christians believe is the Son of God. But the stories of valour and supreme sacrifice have never been discussed that have been shown by the Sikh community. Shri Guru Gobind Singh, who was born on December 22, 1666, in Patna in present-day Bihar, to Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru, and Mata Gujri, showed valour and courage to safeguard the country and the religion but many of us are not aware about. Though the sacrifice of Guru ji and his family must have been revered and discussed specially around this time of the year but we often overlook it either because of sheer ignorance or we have not been told about it. Essentially the entire week started from 21st December onwards must be discussed and the events unfolded during this time needs to be discussed. Therefore, this brief informative write-up will make you aware of an exemplary sacrifice, which rarely finds discussion in the world:

As per the set schedule the movie was shown to Sangat at the Gurdwara Sri Guru Nanak Darbaar
The main motive behind this gesture was to tell everyone the sacrifice made for us without thinking about their own and to know more about those who were in lead.
The idea achieved success as everybody came and took interest for the same
By the end of the movie certain questions were asked from the children for better understanding and that too went smoothly

This brought us to the end of the program and it seemed to be worth attending for everyone present. We would like to thank each one of you who came and join us.
