India International Trade Fair 2017 starts today: This is where to get the tickets...

New Delhi: With the theme "Start-up Standup", the 37th India International Trade Fair (IITF) is all set to flag-off on Tuesday with around 22 countries and 3,000 domestic and foreign companies as participants.

Organised by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), the event will be held from November 14-27 at Pragati Maidan and will be inaugurated by the President of India Ram Nath Kovind.

The partner country for the fair in 2017 is Vietnam, and the focus country is Kyrgyzstan.

Here’s how you can avail tickets:

1. According to the Delhi Metro Railway Corporation (DMRC), tickets for 'business days' visit to the IITF 2017 will be available at 42 Delhi Metro stations.

2. For the general public, tickets will be sold from November 18 at the above-said metro stations.

3. Business visitor registration counters will be set up at Gate number one (Pragati Maidan) during the business days (November 14-17) and the tickets will be priced at Rs 500.

4. The entry tickets for the general public would be available at all stations, including on the Airport Express Line. However, Pragati Maidan Metro Station has been exempted from selling tickets, DMRC stated.

5. IITF tickets for both businesses as well as general days can be purchased from the Customer Care Centres of Metro stations from 08:30 am to 05:00 pm on all days.

6. From November 18, the fair will be open to all visitors with a ticket price of Rs 60 for adults and Rs 40 for children.

7. However, on Saturday and Sunday as well as any holidays (November 18-27), the ticket price for adults will be Rs 120 and Rs 60 for children.

According to an ITPO spokesperson, the fair will be held in half of the fairground Pragati Maidan complex due to the ongoing construction activity.

The IITF last year was held in an area of over 100,000 square meters with around 7,000 exhibitors.
