📯 Eternal Shri Navpad Oli Mahaparva: A Journey of Spiritual Purity ✨
While festivals like Diwali, Rakshabandhan, and Paryushan come once a year, the Eternal Shri Navpad Oli graces us twice a year—in the months of Chaitra and Asoj (Ashwin)!
This sacred nine-day festival is an essential journey for the soul, centered on the nine supreme entities (Navpad) of Jainism, without which the Jain world is incomplete.
What is Navpad Oli?
The essence of this grand celebration lies in the sincere devotion to the nine "Pads" or posts:
* Arihant (The enlightened ones)
* Siddha (The liberated souls)
* Acharya (Spiritual leaders)
* Upadhyay (Spiritual teachers)
* Sadhu (Monks and Nuns)
* Darshan (Right Faith)
* Gyan (Right Knowledge)
* Charitra (Right Conduct)
* Tap (Right Austerity)
The Power of the Shri Siddhachakra Yantra
The Shri Siddhachakra Yantra, beautifully depicted in the image, is the ultimate medium for Navpad worship. It is a powerful diagram incorporating the Panchparmeshti, the Four Jewels, along with 24 Yaksha-Yakshinis, 16 Vidya-Devis, 28 Labdhis, Navanidhi, Ashtasiddhi, Ashtamangal, and Navagrahas!
Worshiping this Yantra is believed to grant all desired fruits, deepen spiritual understanding, and purify the soul.
The Austerity of Ayambil Tap
The central vow of Navpad Oli is the practice of Ayambil Tap—a special type of fast involving a single meal a day of plain, boiled food completely free of oil, ghee, sugar, spices, and milk products.
This strict austerity not only aids in shedding karma (karma nirjara) and relieving physical ailments but is also a powerful spiritual system for achieving physical and spiritual health (Aatmic and Sharirik Aarogya).
Let's dedicate ourselves to the pure devotion of the Navpad and progress on the path of liberation! 🙏
