What happens when the burden of sin, guilt, and the curse is placed on another?

In this powerful teaching, Ps. Carlos Louis explores Leviticus 16 and the significance of the two goats—the sin offering and the scapegoat. Through this biblical picture, we see God's plan for atonement, reconciliation, and the removal of sin and its consequences.

The message points us to Jesus Christ, the ultimate sacrifice who came to reconcile us to God and took the curse upon Himself so that we could experience redemption and freedom.

You don't have to carry what Jesus already carried for you.

“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us.” — Galatians 3:13

What your blessing is hiding?

The story of Adam and Eve reveals something we often overlook.

God declared “Be fruitful and multiply,” yet the consequences of sin were also present. Fruitfulness continued, but pain and struggle were part of the fallen condition.

This helps us understand an important principle:

Experiencing God's blessing doesn't mean every area of life is free from struggle.

You can experience increase and still face difficulties.
You can see God's goodness and still encounter battles.
You can be blessed and still need to discern patterns that shouldn't be ignored.

That's why we shouldn't allow the blessings in our lives to make us blind to the areas that need God's intervention.

The question isn't simply, “Am I blessed?”

The deeper question is:

“Is there anything operating in my life that God wants me to recognize, confront, and bring into His freedom?”

Discernment begins when we stop ignoring what keeps repeating and start bringing everything before God and His Word.

Genesis 1:28

How Do I Position Myself for Abundant Blessings?

Your submission can create an opportunity for blessing.

When you willingly submit to the spiritual authority God has placed in your life, you're not simply following a person—you are positioning yourself to receive spiritual guidance, covering, instruction, and blessing.

A shepherd has a responsibility to speak into the lives of the sheep God has entrusted to him. And when you recognize and honor that spiritual relationship, there is an opportunity for the blessing spoken through that authority to impact your life.

But biblical submission isn't about blindly following a person. It's about recognizing the one God has authentically placed in your life and honoring the spiritual assignment He has given them.

Throughout Scripture, God worked through spiritual fathers, shepherds, prophets, and leaders to guide His people.

So ask yourself:

Who has God placed over my life to shepherd, teach, correct, and help me grow?

Discernment matters. Submission matters. Spiritual relationships matter.

Hebrews 13:17

Are You Positioned for the Blessing?

God's blessings are not always about what we have—they are also connected to our position of obedience, submission, and faith.

In this powerful teaching, Ps. Carlos Louis uses the story of Naaman from 2 Kings 5 to reveal how obedience to God's instruction can position us to receive what He has prepared.

Naaman had power, success, and influence, yet his breakthrough came when he humbled himself and submitted to the instruction given through Elisha.

The Jordan was not the source of his healing. His obedience to the instruction was the key.

Gehazi's story gives us another warning: the authority we submit to, the choices we make, and our response to God's instructions can have consequences beyond ourselves.

Take a moment and ask yourself:

Am I positioned for the blessing God has prepared for me?

Sometimes, before we get to the solution, we have to know there is a problem.

Not every struggle should simply be ignored. Some patterns require us to stop, examine our lives, and seek God's wisdom.

In this powerful teaching, Ps. Carlos Louis addresses a difficult but important question: Can a Christian be affected by a curse or recurring generational patterns after salvation?

Through biblical examples and teaching, he explores the power of words, generational patterns, and the spiritual issues that can remain hidden until they are recognized.

The first step toward freedom is recognizing what needs to be addressed.

When we become aware, we can seek God, confront the pattern, and walk toward the freedom Christ has made available.

Don't ignore the pattern. Seek God's wisdom.

**What if the same pattern keeps repeating for a reason?**

A curse can involve a **pronouncement or declaration**, but Scripture also shows us the serious consequences that can follow disobedience and sin.

Sometimes the pattern becomes visible through repeated loss, failure, brokenness, or struggles that seem to follow the same cycle again and again.

One failure may be coincidence.

But when the same pattern keeps appearing across seasons and even generations, we shouldn't simply ignore it.

Are You Living Under a Curse?

We need to identify what is happening.

Not every problem is a curse, and not every difficult season is spiritual warfare. But as believers, we should be willing to examine our lives through the light of God's Word and ask:

“Lord, what is happening here? What needs to change? What have I inherited, accepted, or continued that You want me to confront?”

Awareness is not fear. Awareness is the beginning of freedom.

Bring every pattern before Christ and allow His truth to expose what needs to be broken, surrendered, and transformed.

John 8:32 — “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Have you noticed a recurring pattern that seems to follow your family?

The Truth About Curses Nobody Talks About

Can a Christian still be affected by the consequences of a curse?

The moment you come to Christ, you receive salvation—but that doesn't mean you should ignore every recurring pattern, consequence, or spiritual battle in your life.

Sometimes we assume, “I'm a Christian now, so everything from my past is automatically gone.”

But then we still see the same struggles repeating:
• Financial difficulties
• Recurring family patterns
• Cycles of failure
• Persistent battles
• Patterns that seem to follow one generation after another

The question is not whether Christ has the power to set us free. He does.

The question is: Have we identified what is operating in our lives so that we can bring it before God and walk in the freedom He provides?

Don't ignore the patterns. Don't simply accept them as normal.

Bring them into the light. Seek God. Understand His Word. And discover the freedom that is available in Christ.

Galatians 3:13

In this powerful teaching, Ps. Carlos Louis explores the biblical understanding of curses, generational patterns, and the spiritual impact of words. He encourages believers to recognize these patterns, seek God's guidance, and understand the path toward freedom in Christ.

Sometimes, recognizing the pattern is the first step toward breaking it.
