🌟Cottage Meeting🌟
After a long period, OCYM joyfully began its Cottage Meetings, with the first gathering held at the residence of Rev. Fr. Geevarghese Jose. It was a beautiful evening filled with prayer, fellowship, laughter, and meaningful conversations, made even more special by the presence of children and adults coming together as one family. Achen led an insightful session on the words of Christ, “Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you” (Matthew 7:7), reminding us of the importance of trusting God, seeking Him sincerely, and approaching Him with faith. The gathering was a wonderful blend of spiritual reflection and joyful fellowship, marking a meaningful beginning to our Cottage Meetings.

A soulful worship session was conducted by Ms. Steffy Mary Johnson as part of our OCYM Worship session, centred around the Syriac version of “Oh Mariyame Njaan Thottakkaran Thanne.” The hymn presents Christ as the Gardener, Creator, Life-giver, and Risen Lord, drawing from the Resurrection narrative where Mary Magdalene encounters the risen Christ and initially mistakes Him for a gardener. Through its beautiful imagery, the song reminds us that Christ is the source of life, the conqueror of death, and the One who leads us from death to new life. The session offered us an opportunity to meditate on these profound truths and to learn the Syriac version of this song experiencing the presence of God through worship and prayer.

Our last OCYM meeting was blessed by the gracious presence of our beloved Thirumeni, H.G. Dr. Youhanon Mar Demetrios, Metropolitan of the Delhi Diocese.

Thirumeni led us through a meaningful study session on the Feast of Transfiguration, inviting us to look beyond and reflect on two profound questions: “Where have we come from?” and “Where are we leading to?”

The session was a beautiful reminder that our Christian journey is not merely about where we stand today, but about constantly being transformed in Christ and moving towards the glory to which He calls us.

We are deeply grateful to Thirumeni for his time, guidance, and words of wisdom, which continue to inspire us in our journey of faith.

🙏English Holy Qurbana🙏
After a long break, it was a blessing for our parish to once again conduct the English Holy Qurbana using our newly introduced Holy Anaphora Book published by the SGOCYM. The service brought together members of all ages in a spirit of worship and reflection, allowing many to participate more meaningfully in the Holy Qurbana. It was especially encouraging to see the enthusiasm of the Sunday school kids as well as our older generation as they engaged with the prayers and responses, gaining a deeper understanding of the richness of our Orthodox faith. This occasion served as a beautiful reminder that while languages may differ, the essence of our worship remains unchanged, drawing us closer to God and to one another in faith.

On the occasion of 🌿World Environment Day🌿 SGOCYM planted a few potted plants in the church premises to promote environmental awareness and encourage a greener and more sustainable future. Through this effort, we hope to inspire a sense of responsibility towards nature and encourage everyone to contribute towards building a cleaner, greener, and healthier environment for future generations.

In response to the recent unfortunate events in Matiala, SGOCYM, under the guidance of our church vicar and assistant vicar, joined hands with the parish to support the affected families by distributing food kits.

This small initiative reflected our compassion, unity, and faith — reminding everyone that they are not alone in difficult times.

“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” — Matthew 25:40

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed and supported this cause. May we continue to spread God’s love through acts of kindness and service.
