*Ramazan* is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting (Sawm) to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad (ﷺ.) This annual observance is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam.

📌15 Ramadan, birth of Hasan ibn Maula Ali.
📌15 Ramadan, In the Ottoman Empire, the sultan presented trays of baklava to the Janissaries in a ceremonial procession called the Baklava Alayi.
📌17 Ramadan, death of Aisha bint Abu Bakr – third wife of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ.)
📌17 Ramadan, the Battle of Badr was won by the Muslims.

شب برات 2025 ۔ یہ رات اسلامی تقویم کے مطابق شعبان کی 15ویں شب ہے، جو مسلمانوں کے لیے بہت اہمیت رکھتی ہے۔ اس رات کو "لیلۃ البرات" یعنی بخشش کی رات بھی کہا جاتا ہے۔ مسلمان اس رات کو عبادت، دعا، توبہ، اور استغفار میں گزارتے ہیں۔ یہ عقیدہ ہے کہ اس رات اللہ تعالیٰ بندوں کی مغفرت فرماتے ہیں اور ان کی تقدیر بھی لکھی جاتی ہے۔

شب برات کی رات لوگ مساجد میں جمع ہو کر نماز پڑھتے ہیں، قرآن پاک کی تلاوت کرتے ہیں، اور اپنے گناہوں کی معافی مانگتے ہیں۔ یہ بھی روایت ہے کہ اس رات اپنے مرحومین کی مغفرت کے لیے دعا کی جاتی ہے اور ان کی یاد میں خیرات بھی کی جاتی ہے۔

شب برات کا پیغام یہ ہے کہ انسان اپنے اعمال کا جائزہ لے، توبہ کرے، اور نیک اعمال کی طرف رجوع کرے۔ یہ رات روحانی پاکیزگی اور اللہ کی رحمت حاصل کرنے کا ایک بہترین موقع ہے۔
