The Christ Church, TVS Nagar, Coimbatore was founded in the year 1987 in a small thatched shed by a handful of believers. The Sunday services were conducted by the elders of the church and communion service was conducted by the presbyter of Gandhipuram Church, Coimbatore. In 1992, the Pastorate Committee of Gandhipuram Church acquired 23 cents of land to construct a Church in TVS Nagar. A temporar
y Church was built in the acquired land and Church service was conducted from the year, 1995. It was planned to construct a new Church with a Parish Hall to seat 350 persons in semi basement and the Church with a seating capacity of 400 members in raised ground floor. As per the plan the new Church was built and dedicated on 15 August, 2002. The Church building is a unique structure which provides an interesting geometric contrast of folded plate structure at the entrance, sloped roof in the middle and a segment of sphere above the altar. This Church is involving in the activities of sponsoring missionaries in the period of 10 years. It is also committed one missionary every year. The success of this Church right from its inception is not due to any individual but team of people who have been strengthened by our Lord, Jesus Christ. It is the sheer grace of our Lord that this Church is able to achieve this much in a short span of time. Every member of this congregation is so prayerful and gracious in supporting the Church activities. May the Lord Almighty continue to bless this church and its congregation.
