Rev.Fr. A. Maria David OCD was installed the new Parish Priest of Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish, Carmel Nagar, Podanur on 14-02-2014. Our new parish priest celebrated the Easter vigil mass on 27-03- 2016 along with Rev.Fr.Jayaseelan,OCD, the assistant parish priest. Rev. Bro. Sujin, OCD,the deacon, assisted at the mass.
Around 2000 persons paricipated in the function. The participation of all the anbiums and the parish council members and the administrative body of the parish council was very much appreciated. At the end of the mass the parish priest announced the existing parish council completes its three year term with the Easter function and its term is over.
The parish priest has started the Easter house blessing and house visiting on evening of the Easter day. After the house visiting election for the new parish council will be announced and after the election the new parish counncil will be established.
The motto of the entire parish during this paschal season is
"“Jesus has risen Alleluia, Let us also rise with Him, Alleluia”.
