Many times anxiety is not about what is happening now.
It comes from the question:
“How will I deal with it if it happens?”
Jesus used the word μεριμνάω (merimnaō) for worry —
a divided mind.
Part of the mind is in today,
another part has already gone into tomorrow.
So we start carrying tomorrow’s burdens with today’s strength.
But Jesus reminds us:
"Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself."
— Matthew 6:34
You do not need tomorrow’s strength today.
You only need today’s trust.
When the moment comes, God will meet you there.
