The ARK ( Living Word Centre )

The ARK ( Living Word Centre ) Inspired by the hope found in Isaiah 61:4, the Ark seeks to Restore, Rebuild & Renew broken lives and relationships ruined by drug addiction, in NE India.

The Ark is a residential Christian community seeking to free those affected by drug addiction and to restore what their drug use has robbed from them; to give them a Godly sense of self regard and offer purpose and meaning in lives as they grow in maturity as disciples of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

🎯 MOVING FORWARD..

The hardest part of the believer's journey is, leaving behind things that should have been left behind. And those things that need to be left behind are often very attractive and desirable things. Unless those things are left behind, one cannot move forward.

"They walk by faith,
They do not turn back to their old land..."

🎯 Our Stumbling Block?

Having spent time working in the Ark [rehabilitation] centre, I often encounter very strange situations. While I am nothing special myself, there are some things among these experiences that I have been deeply concerned about...

I met a woman who sells local alcohol (zu) but wanted to put her husband in the centre because she felt he was going to ruin his life by drinking too much of it. I met a couple, both smelling strongly of alcohol, who came to admit their son for his "No. 4" (he**in) addiction. I also met a couple who work in an illegal field who came to visit their son, who is in the centre for a "No. 4" addiction.

It seems we have become people who use the Word of God only to prolong life or avoid public shameβ€”without truly grasping that freedom from this bo***ge and eternal life are found in God’s Word alone.

πŸ“œ β€œFor although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.” β€” Romans 1:21

Indeed! We know what is good, yet we fail to take that goodness into our own lives. This seems to be what deeply troubles our families, the Church, and our land and nation. Because of this, we are unable to grow as we should, and it constantly prevents us from moving forward.

πŸ’• Have a pleasant time, everyone.

🎯 OUR SAFETY/HEALING IN HIS PRESENCE.

We don't really hear about the animals in Noah's Ark fighting or biting one another. However, from the day they left the Ark until today, it seems they have been constantly preying on and biting each other.

When a person dwells in the presence of God, they usually become a blessing to others. But if they ever leave that place, they often end up causing pain to those around them.

It's true! If we are constantly preoccupied with worldly/fleshly things, we won't find time to feast on spiritual food. When our souls go hungry, our spiritual lives begin to suffer.

Those who are hungry grow weak quickly; their strength fades, and they tremble. Being around them is difficult, and they often lose their sense of restraint or conscience.

Indeed! "Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood." β€” Revelation 22:15.

πŸ’• Have a pleasant time, everyone.
