Bhagwan Swaminarayan himself decided to prepare a lavish meal (curry) (1820 CE) made from brinjals, ghee, and spices for all of his saints and devotees; and served to everyone during this festival. This unforgettable event lasted for two and half months, which has been acknowledged as a festival within the Swaminarayan Sect and celebrated as the famous “Shakotsav” all over the world. It will be 250ft in length and 225ft wide making it the highest and biggest mandir in all of Gujarat, India.
