Thiruvizha Sree Mahadevar Temple is one of the ancient temples in Kerala.

This temple of Lord Kalakandha (Lord Siva who swallowed poison during Palazhimadhanam)is very famous for purifying the devotees by making them vomit out the poisonous elements(KAIVISHAM) eaten by them, using certain indigenous medicines.THIS IS THE "ONLY" TEMPLE IN THE WORLD WHERE YOU HAVE SUCH A TREATMENT.
