Dakshina Dwaraka Dham - Hare Krishna Movement Chennai 🛕 Chennai's Future Tallest Temple! Dakshina Dwaraka Dham — ISKCON Thiruvanmiyur, on the Bay of Bengal shores. Daily Arti, Kirtan, Gita classes & Free Prasadam.

Affiliated with ISKCON Bangalore. Hare Krishna! 🙏 His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada incorporated the International Society for Krishna Consciousness in 1966 with seven explicit purposes. This list of purposes (below) was one of the official documents incorporating HARE KRISHNA MOVEMENT as a charitable organization. At the time, the movement had few followers in the West and wa

s operating out of a rented storefront in New York City. One of the pressing needs at the time was to facilitate donors who wanted to give tax-deductible donations to establish a temple for Lord Krishna in New York City. In the years that followed, Srila Prabhupada expanded HARE KRISHNA MOVEMENT 's mission and activities beyond some of the details listed in the incorporation documents, while remaining consistent with its principles. For example, HARE KRISHNA MOVEMENT has established many more than one "holy place of transcendental pastimes dedicated to the personality of Krishna", with temples in major cities around the world. "To bring the members closer together for the purpose of teaching a simpler, more natural way of life" has inspired the development of self-sufficient farm communities, ashrams and spiritual retreat centers. Srila Prabhupada's plan to re-spiritualize society through the distribution of sanctified food is not mentioned in the original incorporation documents. Yet he established Food For Life and Govinda's vegetarian restaurants, and the Sunday Feast has become the weekly happening at every HARE KRISHNA MOVEMENT center.
1. To systematically propagate spiritual knowledge to society at large and to educate all people in the techniques of spiritual life in order to check the imbalance of values in life and to achieve real unity and peace in the world.
2. To propagate a consciousness of Krishna (God), as it is revealed in the great scriptures of India, Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam.
3. To bring the members of the Society together with each other and nearer to Krishna, the prime entity, thus developing the idea within the members, and humanity at large, that each soul is part and parcel of the quality of Godhead (Krishna).
4. To teach and encourage the sankirtana movement, congregational chanting of the holy name of God, as revealed in the teachings of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
5. To erect for the members and for society at large a holy place of transcendental pastimes dedicated to the personality of Krishna.
6. To bring the members closer together for the purpose of teaching a simpler, more natural way of life.
7. With a view towards achieving the aforementioned purposes, to publish and distribute periodicals, magazines, books and other writings.

The Sun Doesn't Flinch — Neither Does God 🌞

✨ After hearing the full account from Bhṛgumuni, the sages were utterly astonished.

⚡ Lord Brahmā was agitated.
🔱 Lord Śiva was agitated.
🌸 Lord Viṣṇu — kicked by the sage — was not moved in the least.

Small lamps flicker and go out at the slightest breeze.

☀️ But the sun — the greatest source of light — is never moved, even by the mightiest hurricane.

One's true greatness is not measured by power, position, or opulence —

🌿 It is measured by one's ability to remain undisturbed in the most provoking situations.

⚠️ Offend a Great Soul — and watch what happens next.

🔱 Lord Nārāyaṇa Himself warned Lord Śiva:

📖 "A person who commits an offense to great souls cannot continue to exist."

Here's what this means for us 👇

✅ The Law is Absolute
There is no exception to this rule. Not for demons. Not for ordinary people. Not even for the powerful.

⚔️ The Punishment Comes From Within
The offender is not destroyed by an outside force — he "becomes vanquished by his own sinful activities."
The reaction is self-inflicted.

🧠 This Was Said About a Demon
Imagine what this means for those of us on the spiritual path — where Vaiṣṇava aparādha is considered the most serious obstacle.

✨ The Takeaway
Guard your words. Guard your mind.
Humility before great souls is not weakness — it is self-preservation.

The World Is Broken — And This Is Exactly Why 💔

The world is in a disturbed condition because of a scarcity of such peaceful devotees in human society. 🌍💔

Unless one is a devotee, one cannot be equal to all living entities. 🙏

A devotee is equally disposed towards the animals, the human beings and all living entities — because he sees every living entity as a part and parcel of the Supreme Lord. 🐄🦋👤✨

Wealth. Fame. Power. Beauty. — Here's What They're Actually For 🤔

"If by the grace of the Lord we get such opulences as material wealth, fame, power, education and beauty, it is our duty to consider that they are all gifts of the Lord and must be used for His service, not for our sense enjoyment."

🌀 You Chose to Come Here. Kṛṣṇa Didn't Send You.

🔍 We didn't fall into this world by accident.

"The living entities who have come down to this material world have made their own choice to enjoy this material world. It is not that Kṛṣṇa sent them into this material world."

⚖️ Why does this material world even exist?

"The material world is created for the enjoyment of living entities who wanted to give up the eternal service of the Lord to become the supreme enjoyer themselves."

🌸 And what happens when we forget the Lord?

"When a living entity desires to gratify his senses and forgets the service of the Lord, he is given a place in the material world to act freely according to his desire — and therefore he creates a condition of life in which he either enjoys or suffers."

💛 But Kṛṣṇa's purpose is never punishment —
"The Lord creates this material world to give the conditioned souls a chance to elevate themselves to the higher platform of Kṛṣṇa consciousness."

😶 And if we don't take this opportunity?
"After the dissolution of this material world, he enters into the body of Nārāyaṇa and remains there in deep sleep until the time of another creation."

🧠 "I think that no intelligent person can reject this method...."

💔 "The conditioned souls within this material world have been frustrated by searching out the pleasure of happiness derived from sense gratification. Such desires for material enjoyment are always piercing the heart of conditioned souls."

🎙️ "But I am actually experiencing how the transcendental topics of Lord Kṛṣṇa's pastimes can relieve one from the state of being affected by such sense gratificatory material activities."

🧠 "I think that no intelligent person can reject this method of hearing the transcendental pastimes of the Lord again and again; simply by hearing, one can remain always steeped in transcendental pleasure."

✨ "Thus one will not be attracted by material sense gratification."

Qualification of The spiritual master....
-----------------------------------------------
🙏 What makes someone a true Spiritual Master?

It is not merely scholarship.
It is not just renunciation.
It is not popularity or following.
-----------------------------------------------
✨ The prime symptom is this —

He is 100% fixed in Bhakti-Yoga.

Brahmanisṭham —
one who has given up all other activities
and dedicated his entire life
to working only for the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Kṛṣṇa.
-----------------------------------------------
📖 This is the standard given in Krishna Book, Chapter 87 by His Divine Grace Vishwa Guru A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda.

Not our opinion.
The verdict of scripture.
-----------------------------------------------
💛 In a world full of self-proclaimed gurus —
this is the test.

Fixed. Dedicated. Only for Krishna.

"Austerities. Pilgrimages. Yoga. Philosophy. And Still — Not Enough?" 😯
------------------------------------------------------------------
🏔️ Let others perform severe austerities.
🪨 Let others fall from hilltops and give up their lives.
🚶 Let others travel to countless holy places.
📚 Let others dive deep into Vedic philosophy.
🧘 Let the yogīs meditate.
⚔️ Let the sects argue endlessly about who is right.
------------------------------------------------------------------
💡 But here is the verdict of Śrīla Śrīdhara Svāmī:
👉 Unless one is Kṛṣṇa conscious —
👉 Unless one is engaged in devotional service —
👉 Unless one has the mercy of the Supreme Personality of Godhead —
🌊 He cannot cross over this material ocean.
------------------------------------------------------------------
🔑 An intelligent person therefore gives up all stereotyped ideas —
✅ And joins the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement
for factual liberation.

"No Hands, No Legs — Yet He Accepts Everything. How?" 🤔

🤝 Although the impersonalists and personalists fight with one another, they focus upon the same Parabrahman, the same Absolute Truth.
--------------------------------------------------------------
📿 In the yoga-śāstras, Kṛṣṇa is described as follows:
kṛṣṇaḿ piśańgāmbaram ambujekṣaṇaḿ
catur-bhujaḿ śańkha-gadādy-udāyudham
✨ Thus the pleasing appearance of the Supreme Personality of Godhead's bodily features, His limbs and His dress are described.
--------------------------------------------------------------
🔍 The sāńkhya-śāstra, however, denies the existence of the Lord's transcendental form —
hy anāma-rūpa-guṇa-pāṇi-pādam
acakṣur aśrotram ekam advitīyam
api nāma-rūpādikaḿ nāsti
--------------------------------------------------------------
⚡ The Vedic mantras say:
apāṇi-pādo javano grahītā
👉 The Supreme Lord has no legs and hands —
but He can accept whatever is offered to Him.
💡 Actually such statements accept that the Supreme has hands and legs, but deny that He has material hands and legs.
This is why the Absolute is called — aprākṛta.
--------------------------------------------------------------
🌟 Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, has a sac-cid-ānanda-vigraha (Bs. 5.1) —
✅ A form of eternity, knowledge and bliss —
❌ Not a material form.
--------------------------------------------------------------
🙏 The Sāńkhyites, or jñānīs, deny the material form —
and the devotees also know very well that Bhagavān has no material form.

🔥 He Was Poorer Than You. He Offered Less Than You Think. He Got Back More Than a King.

🍚 The offering:
"I simply offered Him a morsel of chipped rice —
and in exchange He has given me opulences greater than the opulence of the King of heaven."

🤔 But why would Kṛṣṇa do this?
"What the devotee actually offers the Lord is not needed by the Lord.
He is self-sufficient."
🪷 Kṛṣṇa needs nothing from us.

⚡ Then why offer at all?
"If the devotee offers something to the Lord,
it acts for his own interest —
because whatever a devotee offers the Lord*
comes back in a quantity a million times greater
than what was offered."

💰 The divine economics:
"One does not become a loser by giving to the Lord,
but he becomes a gainer by millions of times."

🧮 You do the math:
1 morsel of chipped rice 🍚
✖️ Kṛṣṇa's causeless mercy
= Greater than the Kingdom of Heaven 👑

📖 His Divine Grace Vishwa Guru Srila Prabhupada |
Krishna Book | Chapter 81

💛 Save this. The next time you think your offering is too small — remember Sudāmā. 🙏🪷
