Many Christians Are Suffering in Silence While the Media Turns a Blind Eye

Most people have no idea what’s happening in parts of Nigeria right now. Over the past decade, tens of thousands of Christians have been killed in violence carried out by Islamist groups, militias and armed bandits.

In 2025, the situation has escalated even further. There are daily reports of entire villages being overrun by Islamist militants, with Nigerian Christians either killed or forced to flee their homes with nothing.

These brothers and sisters desperately need our prayers, our awareness and our voices. Silence only helps the suffering continue.

In Kyrgyzstan, Rev. Pavel Shreider, a 65-year-old Christian pastor, has been hospitalized with a traumatic brain injury after suffering severe beatings in prison. Arrested last year on fabricated “incitement” charges, he was tortured with pipes, tasers, and strangulation by secret police officers — accusations confirmed by U.N. human rights experts.
Despite global calls for justice, Pastor Pavel remains in a medical prison ward, his church outlawed, and his torturers unpunished.
