In observance of World Environment Day on June 5, H.G. Geevarghese Mar Philoxenos, during his Episcopal Visit to Chennai- Tambaram Mar Gregorios Orthodox Church Pilgrim Centre, planted a sapling and graciously distributed saplings to representatives of various spiritual organizations. Through this meaningful initiative, His Grace underscored the importance of environmental stewardship and encouraged all participants to nurture the saplings, fostering a deeper commitment to ecological responsibility and contributing to a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for generations to come.

His Grace Geevarghese Mar Philoxenos, Diocesan Metropolitan, visited the construction site of the new Snehabhavan Building, the Diocese's dream mission project that aims to become a source of comfort, care, and healing for many—especially those facing challenges of body, mind, and soul.

Accompanying Thirumeni was Rev. Fr. Thomas Isaac, Diocesan Secretary. During the visit, fruitful discussions were held with the builders and engineers, helping to assess the progress and plan the next stages of the project.
