At Trinity we are beginning a new sermon series in the Gospel of Mark this Lord’s Day (August 3) titled “The Servant King”

In a world that prizes power, prestige and self-promotion, the Gospel of Mark gives us a portrait of a King who kneels to serve, who rules through sacrifice and who conquers not by the steel of the sword but by his love.

In this sermon series, we will encounter our Saviour Jesus as the Suffering Servant who redefines greatness and what it means to be servants of God!

We invite you to come and to be unmade and remade by the King who stoops to lift us up.

The sermons will also be available on YouTube and Spotify every week. Follow us on these platforms at the links in our bio.

Homemade Religion - A Sermon on Judges 17

The deterioration of the religious life of the Israelites in the time of the judges is made evident through the self-made and self-serving religion of a man named Micah. In our time, we witness this democratisation and pluralism of religion which seeks to please our senses, rather than offer worship that is acceptable to God. So, what is the right way to worship God?

Rev Christopher Poshin David delves into the problem of worship that plagues modern Christianity in this sermon preached at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Chennai, on June 29, 2025.

The story of Samson in the book of Judges is not there to merely give us a lesson on morality, as it is often interpreted. When we see him as an imperfect saviour of Israel who points us to the perfect Saviour, Jesus Christ, then we understand the Gospel message.

This sermon on the lessons we learn from the birth of Samson was preached by Rev Christopher Poshin David on June 1, 2025, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Chennai, India.

The story of Samson in the book of Judges is not there to merely give us a lesson on morality, as it is often interpreted. When we see him as an imperfect sa...

Listen to Pastor Christopher as he speaks on the rebellion and ruin of the proud and the great danger in rejecting our God anointed Saviour in Jesus Christ.

Jephthah's vow in the book of Judges is a controversial and complex story in scripture. But what if Jephthah did not actually kill his daughter to present her as a human sacrifice? In this sermon, Rev. Christopher Poshin David reconsiders Jephthah's vow from the Biblical text and draws application for us today.

Last week, Trinity Presbyterian Church hosted its first Vacation Bible School called 'Upward Bound'.

Let us continue to be praying for our children that the seeds of the gospel sown would take root in their hearts and that the Holy Spirit would grant them the gift of faith even at a young age.

On Easter Sunday, the congregation of Trinity Presbyterian Church was delighted to receive two children into the covenant community through the waters of baptism: Aksel, the child of Laurendo and Naomi, and Zipporah, the child of Jonathan and Chanika.

We ask the congregation to pray for these parents as they raise their children in the ways of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Johann Ratnaiya has been duly elected and ordained as the ruling elder of Trinity Presbyterian Church. We praise God for His grace and providence in providing the church with an elder to govern and oversee the bride of Christ.

We ask the congregation to keep Mr. Johann Ratnaiya in your prayers, that he may fulfill the duties of this office by relying on the power and strength of the Holy Spirit.
