What is Yuvadeepti-SMYM is the youth apostalate of Changanacherry Archdiocese. Yuvadeepti is a part of SMYM - Syro Malabar Youth Movement, which is affiliated to ICYM - Indian Catholic Youth Movement. As the name suggests Yuvadeepti is national wide catholic youth' organisation which is aiming at the integral development of every youth. The word "Yuvadeepti" is joined by two words "Yuva" & "Deepth

i". yes we are to give the light of Jesus to our youth! The Youth Apostolate -YUVADEEPTI- of the Archdiocese of Changanacherry was established on 3rd December 1972. The founder of this Organization is His Grace Mar Joseph Powathil and the movement was inaugurated by Mar. Antony Padiyara at Kal larackal HalI, S. B.College Changanacherry. The main aim of the movement is to enlighten the world in Christ, - The Light of The World. Its motto is: Change the world through your parish. The means to achieve this goal are prayer, study, formation, action and reformation.
