Historic Gathering Marks 10th Episcopal Anniversary of Rt. Rev. Dr. Royce Manoj Victor
The CSI Diocese of Malabar celebrated the 10th Episcopal Anniversary of Rt. Rev. Dr. Royce Manoj Victor, Bishop in the CSI Diocese of Malabar, with great spiritual fervour, dignity, and ecumenical unity at the CSI Cathedral, Calicut.
The celebrations commenced with the Divine Thanksgiving Holy Communion Service led by The Most Rev. Dr. K. Reuben Mark, Moderator of the Church of South India, as the Chief Celebrant. Rt. Rev. V. S. Francis, Deputy Moderator of the Church of South India, along with several bishops and clergy from various CSI dioceses participated in the solemn worship service.
Mrs. Bindu Royce Kochamma also graced the occasion and warmly welcomed the distinguished bishops, clergy, and guests who gathered to celebrate the blessed milestone in the episcopal ministry of Bishop Royce Manoj Victor.
The public meeting that followed witnessed the presence of eminent church leaders, public representatives, and leaders from different faith communities. Mr. Kennet Lazar, Lay Secretary of the CSI Diocese of Malabar, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the visionary leadership and compassionate ministry of Bishop Royce Manoj Victor during the past decade.
Addressing the gathering, The Most Rev. Dr. K. Reuben Mark appreciated the Bishop’s faithful episcopal ministry, pastoral leadership, and commitment towards strengthening the mission and witness of the Church in Malabar. Rt. Rev. V. S. Francis also conveyed greetings and officially released the documentary depicting the life and ministry of Bishop Royce Manoj Victor.
The occasion was graced by distinguished guests including Adv. K. Praveen Kumar, MLA Designate, Smt. Mili Mohan, President of the District Panchayath, and Most Rev. Dr. Varghese Chakkalakkal, Archbishop of Calicut Archdiocese, who delivered the benedictory address.
Several bishops from CSI dioceses across South India extended their greetings and felicitations during the gathering. Among them were Rt. Rev. Dr. H. Sharma Nithiyanandham, Bishop of CSI Diocese of Vellore; Rt. Rev. Peyyala Isaac Varaprasad, Bishop of CSI Diocese of Rayalaseema; The Rt. Rev. Martin C. Borgai, Bishop of CSI Karnataka Northern Diocese; The Rt. Rev. Hemachandra Kumar, Bishop of CSI Karnataka Southern Diocese; Rt. Rev. Jose George, Bishop of CSI Kollam–Kottarakkara Diocese; Rt. Rev. Dr. Vincent Vinod Kumar, Bishop of CSI Karnataka Central Diocese; The Rt. Rev. Kamanuri Santhosh Prasanna Rao, Bishop of CSI Diocese of Nandyal; The Rt. Rev. Dr. S. Samuel Rajadurai, Bishop of CSI Tiruchirappalli–Thanjavur Diocese; and Rt. Rev. Dr. S. Christopher Vijayan, Bishop of CSI Kanyakumari Diocese.
Special felicitations were also offered by Jayasingh D.S., Dr. Hussain Madavoor, Chief Imam of Palayam Juma Masjid, Kozhikode, Swami Narasimhananda, Mathadipathi of Ramakrishna Math, Kozhikode, and Rev. Dr. Ephratha Sarathi, Acting Principal of UTC Bangalore, reflecting the ecumenical and interfaith harmony fostered by the Diocese under the leadership of Bishop Royce Manoj Victor.
Responding to the felicitations, Rt. Rev. Dr. Royce Manoj Victor expressed heartfelt gratitude to God, the Church, clergy, faithful, and well-wishers for their prayers, encouragement, and support throughout his ten years of episcopal ministry. He reaffirmed his commitment to continue serving the Church and society with faith, humility, and compassion.
The celebration concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Rev. Jacob Daniel, Clergy Secretary of the CSI Diocese of Malabar and Vicar of CSI Cathedral, Calicut, followed by the closing prayer by Rev. Dr. T. I. James, General Convener, and the benediction pronounced by The Most Rev. Dr. K. Reuben Mark. A fellowship lunch was later hosted at the CSI Cathedral Hall for all dignitaries and guests.
