History of Sikh State Capital Lohgarh
Lohgarh is the capital of the Sikh state established by Baba Banda Singh Bahadur from 1710 to 1715. This place is situated in Village Bhagwanpur, Tehsil Bilaspur, District Yamuna Nagar. Lohgarh is situated 40 K.M from district head quarter Yamuna Nagar on an elevated summit at the steps of Himalayas, about half way between Nahan and Sadahaura about 25 Kms from

Sadhaura and within boundaries of village ammuwal, it could be approached only by curly rocks and ravines. Haripur Khol, Lohgarh Khol, Nagli Khol, Bholi Khol and Other places captured by Baba Singh Bahadur in Distt YamunaNagar. In 1709, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur captured Sadhaura, Mustafabad, Buria and Kapuri. He established his capital The Sikh Capital at Lohgarh. He renamed Sadhaura as Ajaib Nagar and Buria as Gulab Nagar. He established camp at villlage Bana Bahadurpur, presently in Block Sadhaura.
