Calcutta Diocese Sunday School Executive Meeting Held Online

The Executive Meeting of the Sunday School of the Diocese of Calcutta was held online on 24 August 2026 with the active participation of the diocesan Sunday School leadership.The meeting was presided over by H. G. Alexios Mar Eusebius Metropolitan, who guided the deliberations and encouraged the participants to continue strengthening the Sunday School ministry of the Diocese. A total of 22 participants attended the meeting, including the Vice President, Director, Secretary, District Presidents, District Inspectors and District Secretaries.

MGM High School Students Excel in District-Level Boxing Competition

Gopalpur: Students of MGM High School, Gopalpur brought laurels to the school by performing exceptionally well in the District-Level Boxing Competition held at Gyanodaya English Medium School, Shahdol. Dayana Mariyam Dynu and Daniel Dynu Kurian emerged as District Winners and qualified for the Zonal Level Competition. Trisha Kushwa, Chinmay Singhania and Aishwary Jain also qualified for the next level through their commendable performances.

Orthodox Christian Nurture B12 Level 2 Valedictory Function Held Online

The Orthodox Christian Nurture (OCN) B12 Level 2 Valedictory Function was held online on 19 August 2026. The programme was graced by Mrs. Cincy M. Thomas as the Chief Guest. She addressed the participants and appreciated their commitment and enthusiasm towards deepening their understanding of the faith and teachings of the Orthodox Church. The occasion also included a heartfelt farewell to Fr. Jom Thomas, who has been serving as the OCN Coordinator. His dedicated service, guidance and commitment to the programme were gratefully acknowledged. The programme also welcomed Fr. Libin Vinoj as the new OCN Coordinator. The valedictory function concluded with gratitude to all those who contributed to the successful completion of the programme and prayers for the continued growth and mission of Orthodox Christian Nurture.

Mar Gregorios Orthodox Church, Sagar Celebrates Feast of Dormition of St. Mary

Sagar: Mar Gregorios Orthodox Church, Sagar, solemnly celebrated the Feast of the Dormition of St. Mary on 14th August 2026 The feast began with Holy Qurbana, intercessory prayers, Procession, benediction and the traditional nercha offering. The perunnal services were led by Rev. Fr. Sajin Thomas (Vicar). The day also marked the observance of memorial prayers on the second death anniversary of the late Rev. Fr. Abraham Thomas (former Vicar). The arrangements for the perunnal were coordinated by Mr. Biju C. Thomas (Trustee) and Mr. Koshy George (Secretary), along with dedicated support from parish members.

St. Joseph Orthodox Fellowship of Mar Gregorios Orthodox Cathedral, Bhilai holds monthly meeting

Bhilai: St. Joseph Orthodox Fellowship of Mar Gregorios Orthodox Cathedral, Bhilai, was blessed by the presence of H. G. Alexios Mar Eusebius Metropolitan, during an august gathering held on 9 August 2026.

The program was attended by 105 senior members of the Church, who gathered together in fellowship and spiritual unity. The gathering provided an enriching opportunity for the senior members to come together in faith, fellowship, and communion, making the occasion a memorable one.
