The annual Muharram procession in Bellary has its roots in the efforts of Bidikikar, a Hindu from the Hindu Khatik community, who initiated this tradition in Moti Circle Bellary many decades ago. Today, his descendants continue the sacred rituals with great enthusiasm and reverence. Through our aim to spread awareness about the true spirit of Muharram—humanity, unity, and devotion—while sharing the vibrant celebrations in our locality.
