THE MESSAGE OF THE “MINOR PROPHETS”

If we were to trace the message through what theologians call the Minor Prophets, we discover a remarkably consistent pattern:

🚩 Return to God.
🚩 Live justly.
🚩 Walk humbly.
🚩 Trust Him by faith.
🚩 Put God first.
🚩 Depend on His Spirit.
🚩 Be ready for His coming.

These prophets may be called “minor” because their books are shorter—but their message is anything but minor.

Over the next 12 posts, let us walk through their message, one prophet at a time.

🔥Obadiah — Humble yourself
“The day of the LORD is near for all nations. As you have done, it will be done to you.” Obadiah 1:15

O Lord our God, put a new song of victory in our hearts, for Christ has triumphed over sin and death. Let Your Church rejoice in her Maker and praise her King, knowing that You delight in Your people and adorn the humble with salvation. Even in the quiet of our beds, let our hearts rejoice in Your goodness. Give us courage to wield the sword of the Spirit, Your living Word, faithfully and wisely. Empower us by Your Spirit to stand firm in the spiritual battle and proclaim Christ’s victory. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.(Psalm 149; Ephesians 6:17; Hebrews 4:12)

For Your name alone is exalted, and Your glory is above earth and heaven. Thank You for raising up strength and protection for Your people, those who draw near to You.
