On the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day, the KGF Area Council Youth Department organised a one-day youth retreat on 15 August 2026 under the theme “Freedom that Transforms” – Galatians 5:13.

Around 70 youth gathered for worship, reflection, fellowship and meaningful conversations. Through three sessions — Free From? Free For? Free To? — the youth explored freedom from the things that bind us, freedom for God’s purpose, and freedom to serve and transform our Church, community and nation.

A blessed day of faith, fellowship, reflection and transformation.

Faith isn’t silent. Faith shows up.

On 26 July 2026 | 3:00 PM, youth from across the CSI KGF Area Council gathered at CSI St. Bartholomew’s Telugu Church, Andersonpet in black attire as a sign of solidarity.

Inspired by Esther 4:9–16, we were reminded that God calls young people “for such a time as this.” Together, we stood in a human chain and prayer chain within the church premises, raising our voices and prayers for justice, the NEET issue, educational reforms, students, and the future of our nation.

✨ PURPOSE. PROTEST. POWER.
Because being young in Christ means standing up for what is right.

🌱 Tree Plantation Drive – World Environment Day 2026 🌱

On 5th June 2026, in observance of World Environment Day, the Ecological Concerns Department of the Karnataka Central Diocese, in collaboration with the Impact Environmental Group, Bengaluru, organized a significant Tree Plantation Drive, reaffirming its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable living.

The initiative was inaugurated by Rt. Rev. Dr. Vincent Vinod Kumar, Bishop of Karnataka Central Diocese, who planted the first saplings at CSI Holy Trinity Church, Bengaluru, symbolizing the Church’s dedication to caring for God’s creation and preserving the environment for future generations.

As part of this mission, tree plantation activities will be conducted throughout the month of June across various KCD churches, institutions, and mission centers, demonstrating our collective responsibility to protect, nurture, and restore the environment.

In his message, the Bishop emphasized that environmental conservation requires practical action rather than mere discussion, urging all congregations and institutions to actively participate in safeguarding God’s creation.

Together, let us plant hope, nurture life, and build a greener tomorrow for generations to come.

DIOCESE CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION: A GATHERING OF GRATITUDE, HOPE, AND JOY

The Diocese celebrated Christmas on December 06, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Bishop Cotton Girls’ School Auditorium. The celebration brought together members from across the Diocese for a meaningful time of worship, fellowship, and thanksgiving.
The programme began with breakfast, setting a warm and welcoming tone for the day.
The worship service was centred on the theme of hope, with the Secretary of the Diocese, Rev. Christopher Samuel, preaching a sermon that encouraged the congregation to trust in God’s presence and promises revealed through the birth of Christ. During the celebration, retired Diocesan employees were felicitated by the Officers of the Diocese in grateful recognition of their faithful service and dedicated contributions to the life and ministry of the Church. On this occasion, a meditation book titled Hope in the Fragmented World was formally released. The book contains meditations on Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany, thoughtfully contributed by pastors of the Diocese. It serves as a valuable spiritual resource, inviting reflection on God’s enduring hope amid the complexities and brokenness of today’s world.
The celebration was enriched by joyful singing led by the children’s choir, joined by Diocesan staff, pastors, heads of institutions, wardens, and members of the congregation. Their active participation added vibrancy and a deep sense of community to the gathering. The Diocesan Christmas celebration concluded with lunch.
