Choose Gratitude Over Grumbling

Worrying and quarreling over trivial matters create unnecessary mental stress, robbing life of its peace and happiness. Instead of making a big deal out of every minor issue, simply letting things go—adopting an attitude of "let it be"—is what truly brings peace of mind.

A mind that finds contentment in what it possesses holds the secret to happiness (the attitude of "enough is enough" is a remedy more precious than gold). Refraining from expecting too much from anyone or anything helps avoid disappointment and conflict.

Getting angry or picking fights without a valid reason takes a toll on both your mental well-being and your relationships. Happiness does not originate from external sources; rather, it resides in our own attitudes and thoughts.

Breaking the habit of worrying and quarreling over petty issues is by no means an easy task; in fact, it is one of the most difficult things to do. This is because human beings are naturally inclined toward negative thinking and have been conditioned by their culture to behave this way. Since the time of Adam and Eve, we have been prone to making excuses and casting blame. We readily forgive ourselves for our own mistakes, yet we tend to place the blame for our errors squarely upon others.

We often tell ourselves things that serve to self-validate our grievances—thoughts such as: "If only I had a different spouse, do you have any idea how different my life would be right now?" "If only I hadn't gotten married, I would be so much happier." "If only I had children, I would be happy." "If only my children hadn't left home, I would be at peace." "If only I had landed that job—the one he got—imagine where I would be right now!" It is no easy task to let go of phrases like, "If *that* had happened, I would be at peace," or "If *this* happens, I will be happy." Yet, the truth is that the very peace and happiness you desire to experience are available to you right now—in this very moment!

Take note this: you cannot blame anyone else for your unhappiness, because happiness is a choice. You must stop making excuses and casting blame; you must stop worrying and quarreling over trivial matters.

The Bible states: "Do all things without grumbling or questioning, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world," (Philippians 2:14-15 ESV).

This is, perhaps, one of the most difficult verses in the Bible for us to put into practice. However, in my view, the most daunting verse in the Scriptures is Matthew 12:36 (ESV), in which Jesus declares: "I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Doesn't reading that send a shiver down your spine? How many times—in situations where there was absolutely no need to worry—have you complained, grumbled, or argued about yourself or others over the most insignificant things?

Here is the first, most important rule of life: Do not worry about small things. And here is the second rule: Almost everything is a small thing! In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, the ESV Bible states: “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Studies have repeatedly proven that gratitude is the healthiest of all attitudes.

What, then, should you be thankful for? Remember this: no matter what happens in your life—God is always *with* you, God is always *within* you, and God is always *for* you. This is the reason for you to give thanks to God, not to grumble.

May the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

For the consideration of the Tamil people as they enter a new era of governance…

Today, the world is undergoing change. Likewise, the political landscape of Tamil Nadu has also entered a phase of transformation. As the collective psyche of the public wavers, people find themselves enveloped by anxiety and fear regarding their future lives.

Amidst these shifting sentiments—O Tamil Nadu! As you step into a new era of success under the administration commencing today, never forget this: the hope for your future does not rest upon the benevolence of alliance partners; rather, your future lies securely in the hands of God.

As far as the Word of God is concerned::

👉 Authorities will change. 👉 Leaders will change. 👉 Times will change.

None of these are permanent…

But…

🔥 **God’s plan and His will shall never change.**

Therefore,

Let this be the mindset of those who assume the responsibility of serving as ministers to govern Tamil Nadu:

With the welfare of future generations in mind, strive to focus your efforts primarily on education, social harmony, and technological advancement.

The true success of this land lies embedded in the sweat and toil of its wage laborers and common people. Therefore—recognizing the dignity of labor—make advocating for the rights of the working class one of your foremost priorities and a noble objective from this day forward.

Eschewing grandiose rhetoric—such as "resounding victory" or "revolutionary triumph"—as well as divisive ideologies, let your primary duty be to channel your thoughts and efforts into strategies aimed at the holistic growth and progress of Tamil Nadu.

Cease the use of rhetoric involving terms such as "evil forces" or "dynastic politics." The reason for this is simple: the support and cooperation of alliance partners will always remain indispensable. This very principle is echoed in the Holy Scriptures as well:

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up… Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves." "A threefold cord is not quickly broken." — Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

To you, the legislative leaders chosen to govern the people, here is the Word of God that you must keep in mind as you act:

Step forward to function—not merely with the mindset of holding the title of "MLA" (Member of the Legislative Assembly)—but rather with the spirit of being a "Servant Leader" dedicated to serving the people.

By the grace of God...

👉 **If you have attained success, always remain humble.**

Matthew 20:26-28: "Whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant." From this moment on, pay heed to the desire of Jesus Christ: that leaders should govern the people through service, rather than by merely wielding authority.

👉 **If you have secured a position—strive to conduct yourself with gratitude.**

Let not power, arrogance, or conceit go to your head. You must approach the people with gentleness and humility (Matthew 11:29).

👉 **Strive to uphold and cooperate with honest and righteous governance.**

Proverbs 29:2: "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan." Resolve to govern with justice, integrity, and freedom from corruption.

👉 **Come forward to understand the needs of the people and address them with the appropriate approach.**

Proverbs 31:8-9: "Speak up for the voiceless, for the orphans, and for the poor and needy; plead their cause with justice and resolve their disputes."

👉 **As you step forward to govern the people, let your heart henceforth be sensitive to their suffering, and let your actions be free from self-interest** (Philippians 2:3-4).

Former legislative leaders who failed in governing the people! Here is the Word of God for you.

Leaders who have failed in the task of governance and whose hearts are heavy with burden!

🔥 Know this: God Himself is the Judge; He brings one down and lifts another up. (Psalm 75:7)

🔥 The loss of your position does not signify a loss of your worth. Recognize that there are still unfinished tasks remaining in your life, and make every effort to complete them. A truly great leader is one who, in some way or another, is always engaged in serving others.

🔥 Realizing that all your power and authority originate from God, wait patiently with the resolve to govern henceforth in accordance with His divine will.

To the People of Tamil Nadu, Now Entering a New Era of Governance: A Divine Call for You

👉 Do not speak out of anger.
👉 Do not wander in bitterness, causing rifts in friendships and fellowship.
👉 Do not resort to violence or cause harm to any person or property.
👉 Do not yearn solely for free handouts.
👉 Place your trust in God and unite together in prayer to Him.
👉 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.
👉 Live in peace with everyone.
🙏 Do not forget to pray this kind of prayer every day.

**Heavenly Father!**
Have mercy upon Tamil Nadu.
Grant peace within the hearts of the people.
Bestow wisdom upon the leaders.
May truth, justice, and mercy prevail throughout this land.
Raise up churches that are dedicated to prayer.
Send forth a spiritual revival.
We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Who will govern us from now on?

👉Unexpected election results
👉The defeat of those who governed well
👉Confusion in the minds of the people
👉Allegations and debates
👉The manifestation of an ungrateful attitude

In this current state of affairs, many are filled with anxiety and confusion as they observe the political climate in Tamil Nadu today.

Who will come to govern us next?
What will our future look like under their rule?

Plagued by various questions such as these, everyone is currently devoid of peace of mind. Amidst this, what comfort does God offer us through His Word? As I was praying and seeking to understand what God's Scripture says regarding this matter, He brought clarity to me through the verse Hosea 8:4; I now present that insight before you. Read this post and find clarity—for God's truth is clear.

1. A Deep Explanation of Hosea 8:4

"They set up kings, but not by Me; they made princes, but I did not acknowledge them." — Hosea 8:4

These were the words spoken by God when the people of Israel, without seeking His counsel, chose leaders based on their own desires and for their own selfish ends.

•"Not by Me": Today, when certain leaders among us rise to power, it is not a result of God's 'Decree' (His sovereign command), but rather due to human 'stubbornness' (His Permissive Will).

•"I did not acknowledge them": This does not imply that God did not see them; rather, it signifies that God did not grant His 'approval' to the choices they made among themselves.

If you were to ask whether there is biblical evidence to support this interpretation of Hosea 8:4, rest assured that there is abundant evidence available. Specifically, I present the following evidence for your consideration:

2. Biblical Evidence and Warnings

The Scriptures clearly demonstrate the consequences that ensued when people erred in their selection of leaders:

•King Saul (1 Samuel 8): The people stubbornly insisted on having a king, just like the other nations around them. Consequently, God permitted them to be ruled by Saul—a man who had originally set out merely to search for donkeys. However, this very choice served as a profound lesson for them in the years that followed.

•Jeroboam (1 Kings 12): Although God had previously foretold this event, the people—impatient to wait for God's appointed time—rebelled and installed Jeroboam as their king. The result was that the nation became utterly corrupted through idolatry.

•The Only Solution (Psalm 33:12): The Scriptures declare, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." A nation's true blessing lies not merely in the character of its rulers but rather in the people's collective reliance upon God.

Indeed—

3. Indian History, too, offers similar lessons.

Throughout India's political history, the people have elected various leaders with immense expectations. However, whenever these leaders acted in contravention of God's justice, the only lasting legacy was chaos.

•The People's Will vs. God's Justice: At various junctures in history, when people elected leaders based solely on charismatic rhetoric and alluring promises, it inevitably paved the way for corruption and communal strife. As stated in Hosea 8:4, this is akin to "sowing the wind and reaping the whirlwind."

• Righteous Governance: As chronicled in works such as *Rebels Against the Raj*—which recount the era of India's freedom struggle—there were indeed many leaders who made immense sacrifices for noble causes. However, whenever leaders are elevated to power solely for the sake of office or personal gain, the nation is left with nothing but a pervasive sense of insecurity.

4. What must the people of Tamil Nadu—and other states—do today?

Without becoming confused, we—as children of God—must step forward to shoulder certain responsibilities:

• Pray: It is God who establishes rulers (Romans 13:1). However, it is *we* who must intercede so that they may govern righteously.

• Seek Counsel: Do not make decisions by forsaking God and relying instead on false idols—such as money, caste, religion, or language—as the Israelites once did.

• Place Your Full Trust in God: Whatever a man sows, that is what he will reap. If we seek righteousness, God will grant us righteous leaders who are fitting for us.

If possible, read through the entire Book of Judges; you will observe that this very pattern has unfolded there.

Indeed, when the people forgot God:

👉 God permitted new rulers to govern them.
👉 Subsequently, when God’s people prayed, deliverance came to them through the governance of judges whom God Himself had chosen.

Therefore, rather than focusing on who is going to govern Tamil Nadu—and, indeed, our nation—the crucial question is this: "Is Jesus, the King of Kings, reigning over our land?" Humans may appoint kings, but true peace cannot be found under rulers who do not know God. Therefore, let us return to God; He will bless our nation.

The results of the general elections held in five states across India today have yielded outcomes that, generally speaking, were entirely unexpected even by the people themselves. Consequently, these results have become the subject of intense and often acrimonious debates among both political leaders and the general public.

On one hand, there is the shock and dismay surrounding the defeat of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister—who was widely acknowledged for providing good governance—along with many of his cabinet colleagues. On the other hand, individuals with little to no prior experience in politics or administration—and who have done nothing for the people thus far—have emerged victorious and are now preparing to assume power. Amidst this stark contrast, various debates and discussions are circulating widely among the populace and the leaders who have been ousted from power.

Specifically, one prevailing argument suggests that the Central Government's cunning maneuvers were the root cause of these results; it is alleged that, through their interference, the Election Commission acted without integrity—engaging in deceitful practices—to facilitate the Central Government's agenda.

Amidst this atmosphere—where the hypocrisy and ingratitude of certain individuals are also being laid bare—I present this divine message to you. Centered upon a pertinent verse from the Holy Bible, this message is intended to offer profound comfort and solace to the people navigating these turbulent times.

**The Current Political Climate in India:**

 Results that defied public expectations;
 The defeat of the virtuous;
 The victory of the unqualified;
 The lingering question: "Was the election conducted fairly?"
 A collective sense of anguish, anger, and confusion—

This is not a novel phenomenon. The very same situation prevailed during the biblical era as well.

Then, as now, the question posed by God's people remains the same:

"Where is God?"
"Why do the honest and the righteous suffer defeat?"
"Why do the wicked and the utterly unqualified rise to power?"

Within the Holy Bible lies a comforting divine message—one that offers a crystal-clear answer to all such questions. That message is this: It is not human judgment, but God's judgment alone, that is ultimately final. Take Note:

" He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; " — Daniel 2:21
1. The results of the recently concluded elections do not rest solely in the hands of men.

Regarding these election results, the world today speaks in this manner:

It is...

 Political maneuvering
 Alliance arithmetic
 A power play
 An electoral strategy

However, the Bible—the Word of God—declares otherwise:

👉 Above the governance of central and state governments, there exists an eternal dominion—and that is the dominion of God.

Consider the message conveyed in Proverbs 21:1:

"The king’s heart (those who govern) is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He will."

Through their votes in an election, every individual selects the person they desire. Yet, the final outcome ultimately emanates from God alone.

2. The defeat of good people does not imply that God has failed.

Pay attention, O children of God! In the Scriptures:

 Joseph was sold into slavery and cast into a prison in Egypt.
 David was driven out by his own son and his own people, forcing him to flee into hiding to save his life.
 Elijah, after performing magnificent divine manifestations, went into hiding to preserve his life.
 Just one week before the conclusion of Christ Jesus' ministry, the very same people who had cried out, "Save us now!"—by the end of that following week—demanded, "Give us Barabbas, the thief! Away with this man; crucify Him!"—and thus had Jesus been beaten and crucified.

On that day, the general public thought:

👉 "The Lord has forsaken the righteous man; the righteous man has failed." However, the other side of this truth is:

👉 **God is orchestrating a grand plan.**

Yes,

For exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another. — Psalm 75:6-7

What we must observe from this is... that exaltation and abasement do not come from man, but from God alone.

Therefore, failure is not the end—rather, it is God altering our circumstances according to His sovereign will.

3. The Rise of the Unworthy — This is God’s Silent Season of Judgment

This is a profound biblical truth.

Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity; for they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. — Psalm 37:1-2
Therefore, do not be envious simply because the wicked appear to prosper.

At times, God:

 To test a nation
 To reveal the true state of people's hearts
 To distinguish His genuine believers

allows certain individuals to wield authority.

👉 **Authority is not God's endorsement; rather, authority is a permission granted by God.**

Amidst this, the work God is performing is:

4. Revealing who the ungrateful people truly are.

What is happening right now?

 Masks are falling away.
 The wicked deeds of individuals are being exposed.
 Hope and faith are being tested.

Specifically, the truth of Luke 8:17 is being fulfilled:

For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be brought to light.

Yes,

👉 **Election results do not merely reveal political decline; they also reveal the true state of human hearts.**

Amidst this,

5. The comfort God offers to His people:

For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist have been appointed by God. (Romans 13:1)

The meaning of this is:

* Not that everything is right or perfect;
* But that everything remains under God's control.

👉 **God is still seated upon His throne.** The comfort the Spirit of God offers us is this:

 "My people, do not be troubled by these election results."
 "The winds of political intrigue and turmoil may shift,"
 "But the eternal Kingdom of My dominion remains unshakable."

Therefore,

Come forward to heed the instruction found in Hebrews 12:28: "Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe."

6. A Call to Prayer for God's Children

Children of God, the current circumstances are not a time for us to engage in arguments; rather, they are a time for us to engage in prayer. * Our criticisms will never change the nation.
* However, our prayers will certainly change our nation.

Yes, this is true:

"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." — 2 Chronicles 7:14

Today, God says to India and to Tamil Nadu:

The rule that is about to unfold is not the one you envisioned.
Rather, it is *My* plan that is now about to come to pass.

Human governance is temporary.
The governance of God's Kingdom, however, is eternal—forever and ever.

04/05/2026

There is absolutely no need for us to become arrogant in victory,
nor to become despondent in defeat.

The legislative assembly elections for five Indian states have finally concluded peacefully, and for the people who have been eagerly awaiting the outcome, the results are now being declared today. In this atmosphere—where the entire nation has been waiting with a mix of anticipation, eagerness, and at times, anxiety—the unfolding results are bringing joy to many, while causing distress to others. Amidst these circumstances, I present this devotional reflection before you, hoping it may serve as a source of comfort.

"Who will come to power? What will our future hold?"—these questions have been running through everyone's minds for months. Each political party, relying on opinion polls that favored their prospects, had begun to dream of victory. Now, the announcement of these election results is bringing ecstatic joy to many, while plunging others into unfortunate and adverse situations. By this evening, we will know who the ultimate victors are. Regardless of who wins, it is my prediction that there will inevitably be many who are left feeling disappointed and angry.

Dear children of God who are reading this!

Do not harbor bitterness toward those who—unlike you—did not vote for the winning candidates. In the face of these disappointing election results, you may feel tempted to cast blame upon the opposition parties, third parties, those who voted differently, or even those who chose not to vote at all. Do not engage in arguments, labeling them as unpatriotic, foolish, or solely responsible for every ill plaguing the nation, and do not seek to cultivate animosity or hostility against them.

Unfortunately, in the days following the election, there were countless individuals on Facebook who hit the 'unfriend' button, typed out angry messages, and engaged in heated arguments. Worse still, there were those who posted extremely vile comments, unnecessarily and baselessly casting aspersions upon the families of others. Others, in an attempt to vent their frustration and hatred, resorted to damaging public property or expressing themselves through acts of violence. None of these actions will serve to alleviate your anger or hatred.

Do not make the mistake of thinking that our beloved Jesus was speaking to someone else—and not to you—when He said: "Whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment; whoever says to his brother, 'Raca' [worthless], shall be in danger of the council; but whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hellfire." Nor should you imagine He was speaking to others when He instructed us: "Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you."

To put these verses into practice, whenever you see your neighbors—people just like you—displaying the symbols of opposing political parties in their front yards, or whenever you encounter those who did not cast their votes for your preferred candidates, or those who campaigned against the party you support—at such moments, remember these words of Jesus and conduct yourselves as true children of God. Children of God, understand this one thing: always remember that your struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, and against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12).

Yes, your true warfare is spiritual; it is neither political nor governmental in nature. Come forward to fight and win this kind of war—not through futile arguments, angry words, or physical altercations—but by wielding weapons such as truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation. This does not imply that your principles are unimportant or that you cannot take a firm stand; rather, the lesson this scripture teaches you is that a political defeat must never be allowed to poison our minds with bitterness, causing us to forfeit the spiritual victory we possess in Christ.

Therefore, never harbor bitterness toward the victor. Perhaps you did not vote for him. Perhaps you chose not to vote for either candidate. Perhaps you *did* vote for the victor, yet still harbor a sense of resentment within you. Perhaps you even have valid reasons for feeling such resentment. Even so, keep this in mind: harboring negative thoughts about the new ministers will not make them better leaders; nor will it make *you* a better Christian or a better citizen of India.

You are not required to agree with the ministers and legislators, nor are you obligated to support the policies of the ruling party; however, you have a duty to view the *office* held by these ministers and legislators through a biblical lens.

First of all,

Remember that neither the new Chief Minister, nor the other ministers, nor any of the legislative assembly members have come into this position of governance without the almighty will of the Lord of Lords. Romans 13:1 states: “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.”

Does this mean that God is a supporter of every leader and ruler who comes to power? No; rather, it means that God can utilize even wicked rulers to fulfill His own good purposes.

However, by harboring bitterness toward them, you are actually revealing that you have forgotten who truly holds control over all of them. Furthermore, remember that it is our duty to pray for all those in governing authority, “that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:2).

Pray that the newly elected members of the legislative assembly—who are set to govern for the coming five years—may receive exceptional wisdom, good health, and strength. Pray that God may save their souls. God took a man named Saul—who persecuted Christians—and transformed him into the greatest missionary the world has ever seen. Who knows? God may bring about similar transformations within these very members as well. “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He will.” The verse found in Proverbs 21:1 will certainly be fulfilled.

Children of God! Do not harbor bitterness toward God simply because events did not unfold exactly as you had anticipated. At times—especially amidst difficult circumstances—do not become brokenhearted before God, like the prophet Elijah, thinking that He has abandoned you or that He has failed to hear your prayers.

Regardless of who emerges victorious in the elections, God has not forsaken you.

While we remain grateful for the freedoms we have enjoyed here, this is not our eternal home. Any persecution or unrest that may arise in India could potentially serve as a catalyst for a true spiritual revival—one that could result in a great influx of citizens into the Kingdom of Heaven. In Philippians 3:18-20, Paul offers us this encouragement:

“For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now even tell you weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ, whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their minds on earthly things. For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

” As citizens of Heaven living on this earth, our mission is to serve as ambassadors for Christ, pleading with those who have gone astray to be reconciled with God (2 Corinthians 5:20). An ambassador does not wish to see problems arise in the place where he serves; yet, like Paul, remember that any turmoil occurring in the country where you currently serve cannot affect the harmony of the eternal homeland to which you truly belong.

In conclusion, I would like to offer one final thought: Do not harbor bitterness toward God simply because of a defeat in an election, nor—out of despair with life—resort to such grave acts as su***de. Your eternal Kingdom is always ready and waiting for you.

Children of God, if you found this post helpful and wish for others to benefit from it as well, I kindly request that you share it with them.

“Even if Election Results Change — God Does Not Change”

“For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created through Him and for Him.” — Colossians 1:16

Dear People of God,

Although many churches are quietly worshipping God during these days, various questions are arising within every heart. The reason is the results of the Legislative Assembly elections that are to be announced tomorrow.

* What will the election results be like?
* Will our livelihoods, businesses, and our children's education be affected?
* Will the future be secure?
* Will the future ministries of our churches be able to function without hindrance?

The speculative reports circulating around us are creating anxiety.
Relationships of fellowship are being strained due to differences of opinion.

However, today God speaks to all the churches:

👉 “The true peace meant for you is not found in political parties, nor in the places they govern; it is found only in Me.”

Yes,

The security of the churches and their operations do not rest in political parties or in human governance — they rest in Christ.

The verse in Colossians 1:16 offers us great comfort:

No throne,
No authority,
No regime,
No dominion—

**Can operate beyond the scope of Jesus.** The reason is that all things were created in Him; all things were created through Him and for Him.

Therefore, let the confession of faith for every believer be this:

“No matter who governs my nation,
My life is governed by the Lord.” Children of God, you need not worry about anything. The reason is this:
God has never lost control.

Observe what has transpired throughout world history:

* Many empires rose.
* Many empires fell.
* Political landscapes shifted.

Yet, one thing alone has remained unchanged: **God is still on the throne.**

This God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. Even if the earth gives way, and the mountains tumble into the heart of the sea—even if its waters roar and foam, and the mountains quake at its surging—we will not fear. (Psalm 46:1-2)

Yes, the people of the Church are not a people meant to fear—rather, they are a people meant to proclaim hope.

The outcome of the upcoming election:

✔ It may be to our liking.
✔ It may not be to our liking.

Regardless of the outcome, it would be well for believers within the Church to affirm the following:

* My peace does not rest upon the results of the upcoming election.
* My joy is not determined by the circumstances that govern me.
* My joy and my security are found in God alone.

This is the comfort God offers to His children within the Church:

"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." (Isaiah 41:10)

Our nation may witness change; yet, the people of God will remain steadfast in His grace.

Today, God speaks these words to us:

> “You look toward human thrones;
> I am shaping your future.”

> “You look forward to the election;
> I am preparing a revival.”
> “My people, fix your gaze not upon the headlines, but upon Me.” “Hold fast not to the circumstances, but to My promise.”

Therefore, children of God!

Your future must not be determined by election results—
**It will be determined by God’s promise.**
