It is not a religious spot, but a spiritual destination that welcomes people from all walks of life regardless of their caste, creed, religion and social status. They had a vision from God to build a temple, which would spread the power of faith in God for generations to come. Since then it became their dream and they envisioned the temple to have a tall Shiva idol with river Ganga flowing down fr

om the head. Several people worked day and night to make the temple a reality. Today, the temple is the holy abode of Lord Shiva where the gigantic 65-foot tall idol of Lord Shiva stands as a symbol of towering faith. It propagates spirituality and helps a devotee to connect with God.

Knowing the ultimate truth, that we are not the body, mind, or ego, but the Soul, is very different from realizing it. We must go beyond mere intellectual understanding or knowledge to the direct realization of the truth. Realization is not learned; it is experienced. It is an inner, intuitive awakening. Today’s AiR Jeevan Sangeet, Life Songs, beautifully highlight this inner journey: Aparoksh Anubhuti.

Discover Shivoham At Shivoham Shiva Temple

What is Shivoham? Shivoham means 'Shiva Aham'. It doesn't mean an arrogant statement that 'I am God,' rather it means a humble submission, 'I am because of the Divine, I am because of Shiva. Without Shiva, I am nothing. Shiva, a manifestation of the Supreme Immortal Power, SIP, is everything. The Divine is the life energy, the Prana in me. If that energy leaves me, I will cease to exist. Thus, I am a spark of SIP, I am a spark of Shiva.'

The essence of our true self, who we are, lies in our sacred ancient texts, the Upanishads. And it is only when we realize who we are not that we will realize who we are. Not this, not this. We are not the body, not the mind. We are ‘that’, the Soul. Today’s AiR Jeevan Sangeet, Life Songs focus on this ultimate truth and reality as stated in the Upanishads: Neti Neti. Tat Twam Asi
