The Supreme Lord appeared in the half-man half-lion form to protect Prahlada from his demoniac father Hiranyakashipu. He is known as bhakta-vatsala. He always protects His devotees from all dangers. Devotees need not be afraid of His ferocious mouth and tongue, eyes as bright as the sun, sharp, pinching teeth or His tumultuous roaring. His nails which are like chisels are meant for ripping apart the enemies. But for the devotees, His beautiful hands, which are like lotus flowers, give shelter and protection.

Narasimha Homa is performed every day in this temple seeking the protection of Lord Narasimha. Every Saturday, at 5:40 AM, the moolavar Deity of Sri Prahlada Narasimha is offered an elaborate panchamrita abhisheka (milk, curd, ghee, honey, sweetened water, and sanctified water from nine kalashas).

Sri Srinivasa Govinda is the archa incarnation of the Lord. He is the bestower of all benedictions. Even today, millions of devotees go to Tirumala regularly to have darshan of Sri Venkateshwara, who is also known as Srinivasa. The Lord has mercifully appeared at Hare Krishna Hill to bless the devotees.

In this shrine you will also have darshan of the lotus feet of Padmavati Devi and the utsava Deities of Sri Krishna Rukmini Satyabhama. The suprabhata seva is performed every day at 5:00 AM. A special abhisheka seva is performed every Friday, at 5:50 AM. The moolavar Deity of Sri Srinivasa Govinda is bathed with milk, curd, ghee, honey; water mixed with jaggery, and sanctified water from nine kalashas. After the abhisheka the Lord is adorned in vishesha alankara. You can also have the netra darshan of the Lord on Fridays.
