Pilgrim India Foundation was established in 2004, at Rabindranath Tagore Nagar, Bangalore and is an environment minded N.G.O with many earth initiatives at its core. The foundation was founded to inspire creativity, display a hands-on-example on easy, fair & sustainable living, special care towards nature consciousness, food security and further learning on energy/water conservation all for commun
ity benefit. A visit to our modern model village & resource center The ‘Five Seasons House' will creatively inspire one to 'Re-think & Re-charge'. Various community clubs facilitate hobby activities & healthy habits along with individual social responsibilities [ISR] that are gently reminded to make our lives more meaningful and help connect the dots to make the world a better place to live in. Having co-worked with Thoreau Foundation towards a Energy center & Krishi center and are working on a Bake club with the University of Agricultural Sciences (Bake Training Unit). Children have been participating in book reading, craft, garage sales & swimming activities. We are working on a programme where eco & work-play balance along with a well rounded curriculum is offered to our young leaders on week-ends which is a total change to the grind at school. A vision to have community coordinators all over India, a model facilitating the free flow of goods & services on a ‘fair-trade’ & ‘share-for-sure’ basis is waiting to be launched with the co-work model, where we have individual curators & promote crowd sourcing.
