DRM is a group of godly women who are committed to serving the Lord through their gifts and talents, living in joyful fellowship and being truly present in heart and spirit for one another, and enriching each other’s lives by the power of the Holy Spirit, as the Lord designed for His daughters, in the body of Christ.
To bring about a holistic transformation in the lives of the abused, violated, oppressed, neglected, and victimized women, children, and girls, through prayer, counseling, mentoring, and connecting them to such organizations where they are equipped to lead a meaningful life, with dignity and purpose. The DRM movement envisions every member of this group to be the voice of the unheard and a backdrop for those in distress and despair.
MISSION
The Deborah Rise Movement encourages and equips its members to be world changers by bringing healing to the broken in body, soul, and spirit through intercession, counseling, mentoring, and social transformation.
OBJECTIVES
1. PRAYER:
a. To raise prayer warriors across the globe, holding daily, weekly prayers and chain prayers. To come together formally and informally at periodic intervals, to share the word of God and to worship and glorify the Name of the Lord Jesus.
b. To intercede and possess a sustained passion for prayer, fully dependent on the Holy Spirit for strongholds to be brought down.
c. To be Christ’s ambassadors and representatives on earth by sowing into prayer needs for the world to achieve breakthroughs in every sphere.
d. To be able to share the love of Christ to the lost, the broken, prostitutes, devadasis, juveniles, street children, criminals and adivasis, and to be good stewards of the blessings, gifts, and talents that God has bestowed on us thereby emulating the love and care of Christ in us.
2. COUNSELLING & MENTORING
a. To have intercessors and representatives in every part of the world who are equipped to act proactively on behalf of and alongside the abused, violated, oppressed, neglected and disadvantaged children, women, and girls.
b. To counsel and mentor such women, girls, and children who need to believe in their worth, and the unwavering goodness of our Lord Jesus in their lives.
c. To holistically approach the physical, social, emotional, economic, medical, judicial, ethical, and spiritual needs of such women, girls and children, that are battered in the body and spirit.
d. To uphold righteousness, peace, and joy through every intervention carried out in conformity with biblical standards irrespective of status, denomination caste, color, religion, or creed. To constantly believe that we are made in the image of God and God is sovereign over all, and each of us is unique and precious in His sight.
e. To be able to connect the deserving women, girls, and children to organizations and groups that render medical Aid, educational, vocational, employment, and legal Aid for women who need them, to take up their causes and to be their voice.
3. JUSTICE AND PEACE:
a. To advocate the righteous treatment of humanity, and principles of fairness, equity, and justice to the wronged and oppressed.
b. To set up a Dispute Resolution Cell for Christians where disputes and conflicts can be resolved peacefully as the Bible says Seek Peace and Pursue it, and not take your brother to court.
