My mother aged 68 years, is currently facing some health challenges. She is a strong woman of faith, filled with the Holy Spirit, and dedicated to a life of prayer, often engaging in fasting and intercession. Just last week, despite her own health, she was able to lead a family to church. While her spiritual life is powerful, physically, she has been a weak vessel. In the past, she has suffered two strokes, was healed of a bronchial/asthmatic and paralysis twice and underwent gallbladder removal.
She is sick today, first time she felt this abnormality was in February, then in June, then again last week. On Oct 23rd, we sought a second opinion from another Christian hospital, but the cost was higher than expected, though the hospital was trustworthy. We have since consulted Christian missionary doctors from Tamil Nadu, sharing her reports with them. A Christian gynecologist from Christian Fellowship Hospital, among others, confirmed much of the earlier advice, but at a much more affordable cost.
The current medical report shows a thickened endometrium of 20 mm in her uterus. She needs further evaluation, including an MRI pelvis contrast study and a biopsy through dilation and curettage.
God willing, we are preparing to travel to the Christian Fellowship Hospital in Oddanchatram, Tamil Nadu, on Sunday night, Nov 3rd. This journey, approximately 352 kilometers from Bangalore, is undertaken with trust in the Lord’s provision and guidance. We aim to arrive by early Monday morning, and while the doctors are kindly working to secure accommodation for us, we may need to make alternate arrangements if necessary.
We humbly ask for your prayers that His grace may meet every need on this journey: that His hand would bring healing to our bodies, strength and alertness for the overnight drive, and peace for the children throughout the trip. As it is written, “The Lord will keep you from all harm—He will watch over your life” (Psalm 121:7), and we are resting in His promise.
Thank you for standing with us in faith and prayer.
With blessings and gratitude,
Pastor Peter Pal
