കുവൈറ്റ് ഗവൺമെന്റിന്റെയും കുവൈറ്റ് ഓയിൽ കമ്പനിയുടെയും പ്രതിനിധികളും കുവൈറ്റിലെ വിവിധ എംബസി ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരും അടക്കം നിരവധി പേർ ചടങ്ങിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തു
അറേബ്യൻ ഉപദ്വീപിലെ ആദ്യത്തെ മൈനർ ബസിലിക്കയാണ് ചർച്ച് ഓഫ് ഔർ ലേഡി ഓഫ് അറേബ്യ. ഇത് കുവൈറ്റിന്റെ മാതൃ പള്ളിയായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ആദ്യത്തെ ചാപ്പൽ 1948 ൽ നിർമ്മിച്ചു, ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ പള്ളി 1957 ൽ കുവൈറ്റ് ഓയിൽ കമ്പനിയുടെ സമ്മാനമായി നിർമ്മിച്ചതാണ്.

The Church of Our Lady of Arabia is the first Minor Basilica in the Arabian Peninsula. It is considered the mother church of Kuwait. The first chapel was built in 1948, and the present church was constructed in 1957 as a gift from Kuwait Oil Company.
A Minor Basilica is a church that has been granted a special title by the Pope in recognition of its historical, spiritual, and pastoral significance.
