Khampagar monastery Pal Phunstok Choekor Ling, widely known as Khampagar Monastery, is the main seat of Khamtrul lineage

Pal Phunstok Choekor Ling, widely known as Khampagar Monastery, is the main seat of the Drukpa Kargyud School of Tibetan Buddhism in Eastern Tibet. Just as the pristine lake manasarovar is the origin of the four major rivers of Asia, this great seat learning serves as the key source of drukpa kargyu lineage teachings throughout all Tibet. His holiness khamtul Rinpoche is the supreme spiritual head

of Khampagar. Before Tibet’s occupation by China, Khampagar had around 200 branch monasteries, nunneries and retreat centers. In exile Khampagar has been re-established at Tashi Jong, a lush green valley in the Himachal Pradesh foothills of the Himalayan mountain ranges of Northern India.
