Completion of the Mahamudra Preliminary Practices Transmission

Guru Vajradhara His Holiness Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa has been bestowing the transmission “Mahamudra: Pointing Out the Dharmakaya” at Tergar Oselling - Kathmandu,Nepal to an assembly of tulkus, khenpos, monks, nuns, and ta***ic practitioners, as well as devoted disciples gathered from Nepal and various regions of the world.
In the course of these teachings, Guru Vajradhara has provided complete instructions integrating both teaching and practice for all twelve preliminary practices of Mahamudra: the four common preliminaries—the four thoughts that turn the mind away from samsara; the four uncommon preliminaries of refuge and bodhichitta, the meditation and recitation of Vajrasattva, mandala offering, and guru yoga; and the four special preliminaries, known as the four conditions for practice.
In addition, within the four daily sessions, His Eminence Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche has been leading the afternoon review and meditation sessions, while His Eminence Chungpo Gyalton Rinpoche has been leading the morning sessions, during which the entire gathering has practiced the relevant meditations together.

大手印加行傳授圓滿

上師金剛持尊勝的慈尊廣定大司徒巴，目前正於尼泊爾的德噶光明寺向由祖古、堪布、僧尼、密乘修行者，以及來自尼泊爾與世界各地的虔誠弟子，傳授「大手印：直指法身」的教法。
在這些教學過程中，上師金剛持為大手印的所有十二項前行 (加行) 提供了結合教學與實修的完整指導，包括：令心轉向遠離輪迴的四種思維 — 四共加行；皈依與發菩提心、金剛薩埵修誦、獻曼達與上師相應法 — 四不共加行；以及被稱為修行四條件的四特殊加行。

The Monastic College’s 2025 Annual Examination Results

On May 13, 2026, the esteemed Head Khenpo, together with the teachers, staff, and students of Palpung Sherabling Monastic College, gathered in the main temple of the monastic college. Following the chanting of auspicious prayers and verses, the Head Khenpo presented awards to the students who achieved the highest results in the 2025 annual examinations, which covered scriptures and Buddhist sciences. The ceremony concluded with a teaching given by the Head Khenpo for the entire monastic community.

2026 年 5 月 13 日，尊貴的首席堪布（Head Khenpo）與八蚌智慧林佛學院的全體老師、職員及學生，齊聚於佛學院大殿。在唱誦吉祥祈願文與經咒後，首席堪布向 2025 年度在佛典與佛學科學考試中取得最優異成績的學生頒發了獎項。典禮最後在首席堪布對全體僧眾的開示中圓滿結束。

The Mahamudra Transmission “Pointing Out the Dharmakaya” Begins

In response to the earnest requests of the luminary of the Buddha’s teachings, His Eminence Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa, the sole refuge and master of the treasury of the definitive secret Mahamudra, commenced the Mahamudra transmission “Pointing Out the Dharmakaya” at Tergar Ösel Ling in Nepal on May 8, 2026.
The audience included Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, Chungpo Gyalton Rinpoche, Tsoknyi Rinpoche, and Taklung Dopa Rinpoche, together with tulkus, retreat masters, khenpos, acharyas, and monastic assemblies of monks, nuns, and tantrikas from Karma Kagyu monasteries in Nepal and abroad, as well as devoted Dharma students from the Himalayan region and numerous countries around the world. In total, more than two thousand disciples were in attendance.
Integrating the hearing lineage and pith instructions of the ocean of Kagyu siddhas transmitted in succession from the glorious Saraha and his spiritual heirs with his own meditative experience, and presenting them with clarity, precision, and illustrative examples, Guru Vajradhara formally commenced the teaching and meditation sessions on the concise treatise on coemergent Mahamudra, “The Transmission Pointing Out the Dharmakaya.”

大手印 "直指法身" 傳授開始

應佛法明燈——尊貴的詠給明就仁波切（Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche）之虔誠祈請，唯獨依怙主、了義秘密大手印法藏之主——上師金剛持慈尊廣定大司徒巴，於 2026 年 5 月 8 日在尼泊爾德噶光明寺（Tergar Ösel Ling）正式展開了大手印「直指法身」傳授。

與會大眾包括詠給明就仁波切、忠波賈頓仁波切（Chungpo Gyalton Rinpoche）、措尼仁波切（Tsoknyi Rinpoche）、達隆多巴仁波切（Taklung Dopa Rinpoche），以及來自尼泊爾境內外噶瑪噶舉各寺院的轉世活佛（祖古）、閉關上師、堪布、阿闍黎，由僧、尼及咒師組成的僧團，以及來自喜馬拉雅地區和全球多國的虔誠求法者，共計兩千多名弟子齊聚一堂。

The Eight-Set Nyungne Retreat

This year’s eight-set Nyungne fasting retreat at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat began on April 21, 2026, with the empowerment of Avalokiteshvara conferred by the monastic seat’s Retreat Master, Lama Ratna. At the request of numerous devoted disciples, the retreat was organized by the Palpung Institute of Buddhist Studies.
The retreat was once again led by the monastic seat’s Senior Chanting Master, Lama Dönme, who bestowed the instructions and transmissions related to the Nyungne practice upon the dedicated practitioners in attendance. With a motivation and conduct inspired by genuine renunciation and bodhichitta, the retreatants commenced practicing the Nyungne Sadhana of Gelongma Palmo’s tradition in the presence of the sacred Avalokiteshvara mandala by taking the eight Nyungne precepts. They practiced austerity of the body by enduring hunger and thirst, austerity of speech by maintaining silence, and austerity of the mind by avoiding negative thoughts, along with performing cleansing and purification rituals. Thus they took all arisings onto the path of practice, akin to the continuous flow of a river of virtue.
The Nyungne retreat was auspiciously concluded on May 8 with an elaborate ganachakra, which comprised purification and accumulation practices of making offerings to delight the four types of guests, encompassing both samsaric beings as well as those who have transcended samsara.

八組紐涅閉關

今年在八蚌智慧林法座的八組紐涅閉關，由閉關上師喇嘛瑞納給予觀音灌頂後，自2026年 4月21日開始。這項閉關係應眾多虔誠的信眾請求，由八蚌國際佛學院主辦。
這次的閉關仍由寺院資深誦經師喇嘛東美主持。喇嘛為參加閉關的虔敬行者們傳授了與紐涅修持相關的教導和傳法。帶著真正的出離心和菩提心所啟發的動機和行為，閉關者們開始在聖觀音的壇城前通過受持八紐涅戒修習帕摩比丘尼傳統的紐涅修持。他們以忍饑耐渴修持身的苦行，以緘默靜語修持語的苦行，以不生惡念修持意的苦行，同時修持淨化等修法。如此，他們將一切轉為修行之法道，如善德之河綿延流淌。本屆紐涅閉關於 5 月 8 日吉祥圓滿，同時舉行了精緻的薈供，包括淨障和集資的供養儀軌，旨在使上供下施等四種賓客都感到喜悅。這四種賓客既包括輪迴中的眾生，也包括已經超越輪迴的聖者。

The Celebration of the Three Holy Events in the Life of the Buddha

In accordance with Guru Vajradhara His Holiness Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa's special appointment of the monastic seat's Khenpo Pema as a teacher of Buddhism for the associated faithful communities of the Himalayan region, on May 1, 2026, Khenpo Pema graciously attended the celebration of the three holy events in the life of our Teacher, Buddha Shakyamuni, organized by the Nyingma Gonpa Committee of Tsho Pema.
The chief guests at the event included Smritika Negi, S.D.M. of Balh Mandi, and Amar Negi, S.D.M. of Sundar Nagar, along with local residents and devoted monastic and lay followers who had gathered from near and far. In accordance with the themes of the occasion, Khenpo Pema led the assembly in Dharma teachings and meditation instructions on the life and qualities of the Buddha, as well as in offering prayers in service to the Buddha's teachings and all beings.

A Tibetan Calligraphy Exhibition

In conjunction with International Tibetan Calligraphy Day, Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat and the Tibet Museum in Gangchen Kyishong jointly organized a Tibetan calligraphy exhibition on April 30, 2026, at the Tibet Museum in Gangchen Kyishong, Dharamsala. The exhibition showcased calligraphic works produced by the skilled hands of past and present calligraphers of the Palpung Monastic Seat, spanning from the time of the omniscient Situ Panchen and his spiritual heirs to the present day, including works by the monastic seat’s current master scholar, Nangyal Ati Sherab Nyima, as well as other calligraphers.

The event was graced by the chief guest, Kalon Norzin Dolma, Minister of the Department of Information and International Relations of the Central Tibetan Administration (DIIR), accompanied by DIIR Secretary Karma Choeying, DIIR Additional Secretary Namgyal Tsewang, and Tibet Museum Director Tenzin Topdhen, along with the heads of various organizations and other distinguished guests. Karma Wangdak, Director of the monastic seat’s Sanskrit Department, delivered a presentation on the historical development of Tibetan calligraphy, while the calligraphers in attendance guided and introduced visitors to the art of Tibetan script writing through live demonstrations.

On May 1, the exhibition was displayed at the Main Temple in McLeod Ganj, where it was presented to local dignitaries, monastics, and laypeople, as well as numerous pilgrims and tourists. On May 2, at the request of the director of the Upper Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV) School in Dharamsala, the school’s teachers, staff, and students were given the opportunity to view the exhibition, along with an introduction to the science of traditional Tibetan calligraphy.

藏文書法展

為響應「國際藏文書法日」，八蚌智慧林法座與位於甘堅吉雄（Gangchen Kyishong）的西藏博物館，於 2026 年 4 月 30 日在達蘭薩拉西藏博物館聯合舉辦了藏文書法展。此次展覽匯集了八蚌法座古今書法名家的墨寶，從全知司徒班欽（Situ Panchen）及其法嗣時代，一直延伸至當代，包括法座現任大班智達囊嘉·阿底·謝拉尼瑪 (Nangyal Ati Sherab Nyima）及其他書法家的傑作。

此次盛會由西藏中央政府（CTA）外交與新聞部（DIIR）部長諾增卓瑪（Norzin Dolma）擔任首席嘉賓，並由 DIIR 秘書長 Karma Choeying、副秘書長 Namgyal Tsewang、西藏博物館館長 Tenzin Topdhen 以及各組織首長與貴賓陪同出席。法座梵文部門主任 Karma Wangdak 於現場進行了藏文書法歷史發展的簡報，出席的書法家們則透過現場演示，引導並向參觀者介紹藏文寫作藝術。

Guru Vajradhara Arrives in Nepal

At the request of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, on May 5, 2026, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, to undertake a series of Dharma activities, including presiding over the inauguration and consecration ceremony of the newly completed Tergar Ösel Ling Monastery in Nepal, as well as bestowing a Mahamudra transmission.
Upon his arrival, Guru Vajradhara was welcomed by Kyabje Drubwang Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche, Tenga Rinpoche, Bo Gangkar Rinpoche, Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, Tsoknyi Rinpoche, Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche, and other tulkus, lamas, leaders, and monastic communities from various monasteries, as well as representatives of different organizations and associations, local residents, and hundreds of devoted followers. Many held flowers, incense, and ceremonial scarves, and an elaborate welcoming ceremony with traditional music and banners was arranged in his honor.
Along the route, Guru Vajradhara was welcomed by the students of Tergar School and the monastic community of Karma Leksheyling, together with members of various organizations and devoted followers. Upon his arrival at Tergar Oselling - Kathmandu,Nepal, monastic and lay devotees—both resident and visiting—lined both sides of the path from the main gate to the entrance courtyard of the main temple, forming a grand reception. Led by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche and Tsoknyi Rinpoche, the monastery’s teachers, staff, monastic assembly, and the school community received Guru Vajradhara with an elaborate traditional golden procession and escorted him to the main temple.
After paying homage to the sacred representations and taking his seat on the throne, Guru Vajradhara was offered a mandala and the three sacred representations. Traditional ceremonial tea and sweet rice were then served to all those assembled, and Guru Vajradhara offered prayers for the welfare of the Buddha's teachings and all beings. He then proceeded to the audience hall on the middle floor, where he granted audiences to representatives of various Karma Kagyu monasteries in Nepal and other associated organizations who had gathered to welcome him, before retiring to his quarters on the upper floor to rest.

上師金剛持抵達尼泊爾

2026年5月5日，上師金剛持慈尊廣定大司徒巴抵達尼泊爾首都加德滿都的特里布萬國際機場，展開一系列弘法活動。其中包括主持新落成的尼泊爾德噶光明洲寺（Tergar Ösel Ling Monastery）開光大典，並傳授大手印（Mahamudra）指引。

沿途，德噶學校的學生與噶瑪列些林（Karma Leksheyling）僧團，以及各界信眾亦夾道恭迎。當上師金剛持抵達德噶光明洲寺時，當地與遠道而來的僧俗二眾於大門至主殿前庭兩側排成長隊，形成宏大的禮敬陣容。隨後，由詠給明就仁波切與措尼仁波切率領寺院師長、職員、全體僧眾與學校師生，以隆重的傳統「黃金儀仗（Golden Procession）」隊伍，護送上師金剛持進入主殿。

在對佛像及聖物頂禮並陞座後，隨即向上師金剛持獻上曼達與身口意三寶供養。隨後，向現場大眾派發傳統吉祥茶與甜米飯，上師金剛持並為佛法興盛及眾生福祉奉獻祈禱。隨後，上師金剛持移駕至中樓會客廳接見歡迎代表，之後回至頂樓寢室休息。

On May 5th, 2026, His Holiness the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situ Rinpoche traveled from India to Tergar Monastery via Nepal’s international airport. He was received with great ceremony by His Eminence Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche, His Eminence Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche, and His Eminence Tenga Rinpoche, along with many abbots, teachers, and tulkus, as well as representatives from various Kagyu monasteries. A vast gathering of the sangha and faithful devotees also came to welcome him. His Holiness then graciously and safely arrived at Tergar Osel Ling Monastery.

On May 1, 2026, on the occasion of the second graduation ceremony of the Ta***ic College at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat in India, an exhibition was displayed showcasing the graduating students' artistic works, including tormas and their ornamental arrangements, sand mandalas, compositions in poetry, and calligraphy.

Celebration of Three Holy Events in Lord Buddha’s Life

Saga Dawa marks three holy events that Lord Buddha, the sole protector, refuge, and final resort for countless beings, manifested in order to guide disciples—his birth in this world, his enlightenment, and his parinirvana. According to the Kalachakra system of astrology, this year’s full moon day of the Saga month was celebrated on May 1, 2026.

The commemoration and celebration of Lord Buddha’s greatness at Palpung YeshiRabgye Ling Nunnery began with its teachers, and nuns performing a ceremony for the purification and restoration of the three sets of vows in the morning, In the afternoon, the nuns offered sacred Dharma discourses, discussions, and debates on our kind Teacher’s retinue, lifespan, deeds, and liberating life story.

八蚌尼寺（Palpung YeshiRabgye Ling Nunnery）對佛陀偉大聖蹟的紀念與慶賀，始於清晨由師長及尼眾共同舉行的「三律儀淨治還淨儀軌」（布薩）。隨後於下午時分，尼眾們針對我們慈悲導師的眷屬、壽量、事業及解脫傳記，進行了神聖的佛法演說、研討與辯經。

The Palpung Sherabling Ta***ic College's Second Graduation Ceremony

On the morning of May 1, 2026, coinciding with the auspicious celebration of the three holy events in the life of our compassionate and skillful Teacher, the Buddha—his birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana—the monastic seat's tulkus, lamas, khenpos, monks, and nuns gathered in the great assembly courtyard of Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat in India. Preceded by the Sojong ritual for the purification and renewal of the vows, they offered prayers in commemoration of the Buddha's life, qualities, and deeds through the ritual of Glorious Hevajra, accompanied by an elaborate ganachakra offering.
In the afternoon, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa, escorted by monks carrying incense, ascended his throne. Representatives of the Ta***ic College then offered him a mandala along with the three sacred representations, after which traditional tea and sweet rice were served to all those gathered. The graduating students then led with a discourse on the Five Auspicious Circumstances, followed by a teaching on the mandalas of the ocean of tantras, an exposition on tormas, a Dharma teaching on the sacred vajra dances, and a discussion on the ritual procedures of the visual transmission tradition.
Guru Vajradhara then presented graduation certificates to those who had completed their studies and appointed specially trained instructors in the visual transmission tradition. He subsequently bestowed guidance and advice beneficial for both this life and future lives, emphasizing the importance of maintaining mindfulness and awareness in all aspects of daily life; the crucial need to adapt one's Dharma teachings to the capacities and dispositions of students while refraining from any personal embellishment or adulteration of the teachings; and the responsibility of the Dharma upholders to consider the endurance of the Buddha’s teachings and to exercise vigilance in all their thoughts and conduct.
Finally, the ceremony was brought to an auspicious conclusion as the graduates offered a long-life ceremony to Guru Vajradhara, expressing their aspiration for his longevity and the flourishing of his enlightened activities.

八蚌智慧林密續學院第二屆畢業典禮

當天下午，在手持熏香的僧眾護送下，上師金剛持尊勝的慈尊廣定大司徒巴登上法座。密續學院的代表隨即向上師金剛持獻上曼達及身語意三所依，現場並為大眾奉上傳統茶與吉祥甜米飯。緊接著，畢業生們展開了佛學論述，依序演說五圓滿、緊接著教授《密續海》諸壇城、詳盡闡釋朵瑪食子，並進行了神聖金剛舞的佛法教學，以及關於觀修傳承儀軌程序的研討。

隨後，上師金剛持親自為圓滿學業的學子頒發畢業證書，並任命了專門受過觀修傳承培訓的導師。上師金剛持接著賜予了對現世與未來生皆有饒益的慈悲教誡，強調在日常生活的各個層面保持正知正念至關重要，且傳授佛法時必須依學生的心性資質調整，絕不可對教法進行任何個人化的渲染或摻雜偽造；上師金剛持更叮囑佛法守護者應以正法久住為念，在一切起心動念與言行舉止間時刻保持謹慎。

典禮最後，全體畢業生向上師金剛持獻上長壽住世儀軌，至誠祈願尊者長壽安康、佛事事業廣大興盛，整場典禮在吉祥的氣氛中圓滿落幕。
