त्रेतायुग का रामायण आदि कवि वाल्मीकि द्वारा लिखा गया संस्कृत का एक अनुपम महाकाव्य है। इसके २४,००० श्लोक हैं। रघुवंश के राजा राम की गाथा कही गयी। इसे आदिकाव्य भी कहा जाता है। रामायण के सात अध्याय हैं जो काण्ड के नाम से जाने जाते हैं।
