I, Jollee Abraham, started my career as a playback singer in South Indian Movies way back in the year 1975 and had the privilege of singing for Music Directors like M.S Viswanathan, Isai Gnani Illayaraja, K.V Mahadevan, Salil Chowdhry, Shyam, Shankar Ganesh, Dhakshinamoorthy, C. Devarajan, M.K Arjunan, Johnson, A.T Ummer, Ravindran, Rajan Nagendra, T.G Lingappa, S.P V
enkatesh, Baburaj, Sathyam, T. Rajendar, Gunasingh, Sivaji Raja, etc for all the four South Indian Languages. Along with film songs I was also singing Gospel songs in all the above languages & in Hindi, Oriya also. By the Grace of God, I was able to sing thousands of Christian songs. Savour and humbling myself before Him in obedience, gave up my film career and dedicated my voice to sing only for the Glory of God. Having dedicated my voice to sing only Gospel Songs and a desire to help the underprivileged were both accomplished by founding Mus-Care Cultural Charitable Trust in the year 2001 Matthew 25:40 says, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it for me”. Musi-Care Cultural & Charitable Trust, started its MISSION to help the underprivileged with Music as a platform. On 11 May 2001, we conducted our first 12 hour gospel concert starting at 6 O’clock in the evening to 6 O’clock, next morning for 12 long hours. The concert was well appreciated, which encouraged us to continue every year. People look forward to this concert during the second week of May. year after year. At 12 O’Clock midnight, we conduct a special candlelight worship and prayer for the peace of our Nation. Every year, we support the downtrodden to start a career by donating push carts, fish carts, iron box with cart, wet grinders, cycles, sewing machines, load bearing tricycles, etc. Support the physically challenged by donating wheelchairs, tricycles, hearing aid, spectacles, clutches, etc. Support destitute homes by donating specially made cuts for the sick, construction material for expansion of orphanage building, fridge for homes, rice, dhal, oil, bed sheets etc. Medical help, school tees for deserving students, etc. We have also been helping a few small churches with audio systems, music instruments,digging borewell, two wheelers for village ministry, etc. Blood donation and Eye donation are also conducted
Great Music Legends like Mellisai Mannar Shri. M.S Viswanathan, Shri K.J Yesudas, Shri. S.P. Balasubramaniam, Shri P.B. Sreenivas, Smt. Janaki, Smt. P. Susheela, Smt. Vani Jayaram, L.R.Eashwari, K.S Chithra, C. Deva, Unni Menon, Mano, Krishna Raj, Sunitha Sarathy, Nikhil Mathew, Srinisha, Cicily, Solo instrumentalists like Kalyana Sundaram, Stephen Devassy, Naveen, Kamalakar, Sitar Robert, Natraj Shastri, Jason have all participated. Gospel Singers S.Vedhanayagam Sathiyar, Sis.Helen Sathya, Sis. Padmini Pandian, Sis, Nalini Selvaraj, Sis. Hema John, Bro. Vyasar Lawrence, Reshma etc. Have all been kind enough to come and participate in this concert, thus honouring our small effort towards the upliftment of the less fortunate in our society. The Archbishop, Bishops from all denominations, Religious leaders from various churches. renowned evangelists etc. have all graced this event. In 2015, Musi-care was able to do Relief projects at Nepal during the earthquake and at Chennai during Floods. Trucks loaded with the basic necessities and tents were sent to Nepal. Due to Covid’19, Musi-care 2020 to 2022 were conducted during the month of December from 10am to 10pm. In the year 2002, Gurukul Lutheran Theological College & Research Institute honoured me with the title SANGEETHA KALA PRAPOORNA, In 2013 University of Jerusalem honoured me with the title PARAMA PURATCHI KAVI and in 2021 I was awarded Tamil Nadu's most prestigious title “KALAIMAMANI”. It was handed over to me by Chief Minister Mr.Edappadi Palaniswami. Whatever obstacles may come, yet this good work started by the Lord will surely continue because of His Amazing Grace.
