God’s Servant – Brother D. S. Nicholson
Brother D. S. Nicholson has been the pastor of my grandfather, my father, myself, and now even my children. For generations, he has faithfully shepherded our family.
He is highly educated and completed double engineering, and in his early life he had a very good and respectable job. However, while he was still young, he chose to leave his promising career in order to dedicate his life completely to the service of the Lord. Together with his wife, he came to Punjab with a heart devoted to serving God.
Since then, he has faithfully ministered among the poor and needy people of Punjab. Despite many difficulties, he never shared his personal needs with anyone, nor did he ever ask anyone for money or material help. Instead, he has always been helping others and supporting the church.
He has helped widows, orphans, the sick, and also supported the education of many children. Even today, after many years of faithful ministry, the servant and handmaiden of the Lord continue to serve in Punjab, though they have now grown elderly.
Brother Nicholson is originally from Kanyakumari in South India. The language, food, and lifestyle of Punjab are very different from his own culture, yet for the sake of the Gospel he endured everything with humility and love. Living among simple and uneducated people, he faithfully preached the Word of God and conducted Bible studies for many years.
He is an extremely humble servant of the Lord. We continually pray to God for his good health and strength as he continues to serve the Lord.
We are deeply grateful to the Lord for the sacrifice he has made by dedicating his life to serve the people of Punjab.
