Guru Gobind Singh ji was the tenth and final guru of the Sikh religion. He was born in 1666 in Patna, Bihar, India and was a spiritual leader, warrior, and poet.
One interesting fact about Guru Gobind Singh is that he founded the Khalsa, the collective body of initiated Sikhs, in 1699. The Khalsa is a group of initiated Sikhs who follow a strict code of conduct and are dedicated to upholding the values and principles of Sikhism. Guru Gobind Singh initiated the creation of the Khalsa in response to the persecution of Sikhs by the Mughal Empire in India.
