श्रीपर्णी (शिवण)
ज्या पर्णात श्री (लक्ष्मी) असते, त्याला श्रीपर्णी (शिवण) म्हणतात
कलियुगातील कल्पवृक्ष कामधेनु म्हणजे श्रीपर्णी(शिवण) या लाकडाला संस्कृत मध्ये श्रीपर्णी, मराठीमध्ये शिवण, गुजराथीमध्ये सेवन, हिंदीत खुमर व कन्नडमध्ये शिवणी अशी नावे आहेत.
ज्या प्रमाणे औदुंबराच्या झाडात दत्ताचे, पिंपळच्या झाडात विष्णूचे स्थानआहे. त्याचप्रमाणे शिवण लाकूड लक्ष्मी स्वरूप मानले जाते. ज्यावेळी द्वारकानगरी

बांधण्यात आली तेव्हा ह्या लाकडाचा प्रथमत: उपयोग करण्यात आला असा उल्लेख विश्वकर्मा पुराणात करण्यात आला आहे.
हे लाकूड अत्यंत पवित्र आणि शुभ आहे. या लाकडाच्या पूजनाने सकारात्मक ऊर्जा निर्माण होते. नवग्रह दोष, वास्तुदोष निवारण होते. हे लाकूड प्राचीन काळापासून स्वयंसिद्धीसाठी आणि स्फूर्ति व किर्ती देणारे आहे. श्रीयंत्राची नियमित पुजा केल्याने महालक्ष्मीची कृपा तर होतेच परंतु घरात लक्ष्मीचा सदैव वास असल्याने घरात सुख शांती राहते. असे पद्मपुराणात स्वत:लक्ष्मीने वर्णन केले आहे.
