Shri Shri Satya Gopal Ashram

Shri Shri Satya Gopal Ashram Founded by Acharya Sri Sri Gopal Chandra Chatterjee, the Ashram is situated in the holy city of Allahabad.

The Ashram has been organizing one of the oldest Durga Puja in Allahabad. The Puja was started in Patna in 1936 & was held there till 1940. In 1941, Gopal Thakur, as he was lovingly called, shifted to Allahabad where it was held at the Coondoo Garden from the period 1941 to 1945. In 1946 the Ashram was built & since then the Puja is being carried on at the current location
