*The event of demolition of historical and religious graves and shrines of al-Baqi' cemetery by the Wahhabis of contemporary time.* Demolition of al-Baqi' was followed by serious protests in Muslim countries including Iran. Wahhabis destroyed places and graves in al-Baqi' two times, once in 1220/1805-6 and the second time in 1344/1926. The Shi'a hold mourning gatherings, remember the event and mourn and protest against this blatant oppression on Shawwal 8 of every year which is known as Yawm al-Hadm (Day of Demolition).

اپنے سفر نامہ ’’شب جای کہ من بودم‘‘ میں حضرت سیدہ خدیجة الکبریٰ سلام اللّٰہ علیہا کے مزار اقدس پر حاضری کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے لکھتے ہیں:

’’حضرت خدیجہ رضی ﷲ عنہا کی قبر پر نگاہ کی:
ام المومنین کا مزار؟۔ ۔ ۔ میں کانپ اٹھا!
میرا دل دھک دھک کرنے لگا!
مسلمانوں نے اپنی بیویوں کے تاج محل بنا ڈالے لیکن جس خاتون کو پیغمبر اسلام صل الله علیه وآله وسلم کی پہلی شریک حیات ہونے کا شرف حاصل ہوا
جو فاطمة الزھرا رضی ﷲ عنہا کی ماں تھیں،
وہ ایک ویران قبر میں پڑی ہیں۔
میں اپنے تئیں ضبط نہ کرسکا، آنکھوں میں بدلیاں آگئیں۔ حضور صل الله علیه وآله وسلم کو بعثت کے گیارہ سال ستایا گیا
ام المومنین کو اب ستایا جارہا ہے 😭

اپنی جسارت پر مجھے حیرت ہوئی کہ میں نے اس ڈھیری (شکستہ مزار اقدس) کے سامنے کھڑا ہونے کا حوصلہ کیا۔ میں ہل گیا، ایک کپکپی طاری ہوگئی؛
مرا ای کاش کہ مادر نہ زادی

’’اے کاش مجھے میری ماں نے جنم نہ دیا ہوتا"

استقامت کی شرط سے مرتد، بدعتی اور منافق خارج ہو جاتے ہیں اور ساتھ وہ لوگ بھی نکل گئے جنہیں حدیث 'ما احدثوا بعدک' کے مطابق رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے بعد انحراف اور تبدیلی لانے والا کہا ہے۔
