**✝️ Confirmation Service at Church of the Ascension, Aligarh ✝️**

On **2nd August 2026**, the historic **Church of the Ascension, Aligarh**, a parish under the **Diocese of Agra, Church of North India (CNI)**, was blessed to host a solemn and grace-filled **Confirmation Service**.

The service was led by **The Most Revd. B. K. Nayak, Bishop of the Diocese of Agra and Former Moderator of the CNI Synod**, who administered the **Sacrament of Confirmation** to the confirmation candidates. During the service, Bishop Nayak delivered an inspiring sermon, encouraging the newly confirmed members to remain faithful to Christ and to live as committed disciples in their daily lives.

**The Revd. Ashwin Plomer**, Vice-President of the Diocese of Agra, shared a meaningful biblical message on the significance of Confirmation, explaining its importance as a public affirmation of faith and a lifelong commitment to following Jesus Christ through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

The occasion was also graced by the presence of **Mr. Alex Barlow, Property Manager, ADTA, Diocese of Agra**.

The Bishop and distinguished guests received a warm and joyful welcome from all the wings of the Church, including the Pastorate Committee, Men's Fellowship, Women's Fellowship, Youth Fellowship, Sunday School, Choir, and the congregation.

We thank Almighty God for His abundant blessings upon the confirmation candidates and pray that they may continue to grow in faith, love, and service to His Kingdom.

We give all glory and honour to God for the blessed opportunity granted to the Choir of The Church of The Ascension, Aligarh to lead worship during the Diocese of Agra Pastors’ Conference, held at Nainital from 17–19 June 2026. All choir members were privileged to participate and minister through worship during this gathering.

We sincerely thank The Most Revd. Bijaya Kumar Nayak, Bishop of the Diocese of Agra, for providing this opportunity and encouragement to our choir ministry. We are also grateful to The Revd. Aman Abhishek Prasad for his guidance, leadership, and prayers.

As the Holy Scripture says, “Whoever serves, let it be as one who serves by the strength that God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 4:11)

We believe that every opportunity to serve comes from God, and we pray that He will continue to open doors for His people to worship and glorify His Holy Name with reverence, humility, and devotion. May all that we do bring honour to Him alone.

Festival of Fasting and Prayer – Diocese of Agra CNI

A Festival of Fasting and Prayer was organized by the Diocese of Agra CNI on 12 June 2026 at St. Paul’s Church School, Unit-II, Agra. The gathering witnessed the gracious presence of The Most Revd. B.K. Nayak, Bishop, Diocese of Agra CNI, who led the congregation in fervent prayer and spiritual reflection.

The service was led by The Revd. Rodrick Victor and The Revd. Aman Abhishek Prasad, who guided the congregation throughout the worship and prayer sessions. Also present and actively participating in the service were The Revd. Santosh Pandey, The Revd. Ashwin Aurther Plomer, and The Revd. Bonhomie Nayak, whose ministry and leadership contributed meaningfully to the spiritual enrichment of the gathering.

During the programme, several prayer sessions were conducted focusing on various prayer concerns and needs of the Church, society, and the nation. Under the leadership of The Most Revd. B.K. Nayak, pastors and congregations from churches across the Diocese gathered in unity and participated with great spiritual burden, seeking God's guidance, blessings, and intervention.

A significant feature of the gathering was the participation of the Church of the Ascension, Aligarh Choir, which led the congregation in worship. Through their melodious voices and musical accompaniment, the choir glorified God and enriched the worship experience, inspiring all present to join together in heartfelt praise and thanksgiving.

The Festival of Fasting and Prayer proved to be a spiritually uplifting gathering, strengthening fellowship among believers and reaffirming the Diocese's commitment to prayer, worship, and Christian unity.

🌟 VBS Outreach Ministry 2026 | Hathras 🌟

After the successful completion of VBS 2026 at Church of The Ascension, Aligarh, God opened a new door for ministry as our VBS team extended this mission to St. Mark's Church, Hathras from 3rd–5th June 2026.

Under the leadership of The Revd. Aman Abhishek Prasad, Presbyter-in-Charge, Church of The Ascension, and Christ Church Aligarh, and Dean of Aligarh Deanery, our dedicated members of Youth Fellowship and elders volunteers enthusiastically served through Action Songs, Bible Lessons, Skits, Games, Crafts, Worship Sessions, and Interactive Biblical Activities.

One of the most inspiring moments was seeing the children eagerly participate and quickly grasp new Bible lessons, songs, memory verses, and activities. Their enthusiasm, joy, and hunger to learn God's Word made this outreach truly special.

We are grateful to The Revd. Nathaniel Das, Presbyter-in Charge, St. Mark's Church, Hathras and the congregation of the church, for their warm hospitality and support throughout the programme.

VBS 2026 – Day 3 (Grand Finale) Report

The third and final day of VBS 2026 at Church of the Ascension, Civil Lines, Aligarh, was filled with joy, excitement, worship, learning, and unforgettable moments.

The day began with praise, worship, and an inspiring teaching session that encouraged the children to continue walking with Jesus in their daily lives. Various songs, dances, games, and fun activities kept the children engaged throughout the day, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere.

One of the most memorable highlights of the day was the powerful presentation of the Ascension of Jesus Christ. The congregation witnessed Jesus ascending from the top of the church building, beautifully portraying His glorious return to Heaven. Before the Ascension scene, a special flower shower (Pushp Varsha) was offered upon Jesus, making the entire moment deeply moving and spiritually uplifting.

Adding to the excitement, the Brown Teddy delighted everyone with energetic dances and fun interactions with the children. His presence brought smiles, laughter, and enthusiasm, making him one of the favourite attractions of the camp.

The House Competitions were conducted with great enthusiasm, and after three days of healthy competition, King James House emerged as the overall winner. The participants displayed excellent teamwork, creativity, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the event.

At the conclusion of the programme, VBS 2026 Camp Designer and Coordinator Mr. Nikhil Jatin Kumar expressed heartfelt gratitude to all crew members, house mentors, faculty members, volunteers, parents, and participants whose dedication made VBS 2026 a grand success.

The closing session was led by The Revd. Aman Abhishek Prasad, Presbyter Incharge of the Church of the Ascension and Dean of Aligarh Deanery. He shared the significance and purpose of Vacation Bible School, encouraged everyone to continue their journey of faith, and offered a special prayer for all participants and their families. After the final prayer and blessing, everyone departed safely with joyful hearts, cherished memories, and renewed faith in Christ.

VBS 2026 – WALK WITH JESUS: A Journey of Faith and Love concluded successfully, leaving a lasting impact on every child and participant.
