Feast Day Celebrations
St. Fidelis Church Aligarh, celebrated its Heavenly Patron's - St. Fidelis' feast most solemnly on 6th May 2023.The
parishioners were highly jubilant, as His Grace, the Most Rev.Dr.Raphy Manjali, graced the occasion within his benign presence. His Grace was the main celebrant of the Hoy Mass.
Our Dean Rev. Fr. Sunny Kottoor, other priests of the Deanery and a few priests of the Archdiocese, multiplied our joy by being the co- celebrants of the Holy Mass. The Archbishop and the other priests were led to the church with the accompaniment of dance by the Mahilamandal. The day was indeed a blessed one as seven children of our parish received the first Holy Communion and six others, fortified their faith in the Church and Jesus by receiving the Confirmation from His Grace during the Eucharistic celebrations.
After the soul touching Holy Mass, the parishioners presented a magnificent and meaningful cultural extravaganza. It was a perfect blend of superb aesthetic beauty and devotion to the Almighty. Prayer dance, a well choreographed dance - drama (written and directed by Mr.Kuriachen P.J ), an orchestra by the youth and finale dance by the catechism children were indeed a feast to the ears, eyes mind and soul. The Archbishop gave away prizes to the toppers of the catechism classes. The parishioners were enthralled when His Grace hailed Aligarh as a model parish in his presidential address.
The events concluded with a sumptuous agape dinner, prepared by the parishioners themselves.
In all our efforts, we received constant support and guidance from our beloved Parish Priest Rev. Fr. John Roshan. In fact, we are highly indebted to him for his meticulous planning and systematic implementation of the activities.
