JaGo Rajasthan
November 18 & 19, 2023
Madar, Ajmer
Recently Jesus Youth India organised its national conference in Bangalore with the name 'JaGo' which was attended by more than 17000 people from all parts of the country. From Rajasthan also around 70 participated in this mega event. All of them returned with a wonderful experience and a zeal to share Christ to others.
To cater to this desire, Jesus Youth Rajasthan organised a local gathering called "JaGo Rajasthan" on 18th and 19th of November 2023 at Naveenta, Pastoral Centre, Madar, Ajmer. The aim was to provide a platform to the JaGo India participants to share their experiences with those who couldn't go for the National Conference at Bangalore. Around 40 youth gathered for this event from different corners of Ajmer diocese.
Resources for the program were Mr. Vinod Kumar from Delhi, Mr. Johnson Pillai from Baroda and Mr. Shibu Devasia from Jodhpur. They were welcomed in a short inaugural ceremony. After which the participants were mixed up by some ice breaking songs and activities. This was followed up by sessions that explained to them their purpose in life and what dose the Church expect from us. Keeping this as the theme, adoration was conducted. After meals participants shared their experiences with lots of fond memories.
Sunday morning began with praising God. After breakfast, the six pillars of Jesus Youth were explained and practiced. A short panel discussion was conducted to know more about the movement, how it originated, what does it do and what are the usual programs conducted for the spiritual growth of its members. Holy Mass followed which was celebrated by the chaplain, Fr. Raymond. A short brainstorming session after this encouraged the participants to initiate prayer groups in their parishes and organise small events. With devine grace, these plans may take shape.
We express our deep gratitude to Bishop Pius T. D'souza, Bishop of Ajmer for his love and support, Fr. Raymond Fernandes, chaplain of JY Ajmer for his motivation, prayers and trust. We thank Fr. Alok, the Director of Pastoral Centre for providing the venue, stay and meals, Sr. Swapna MSA for her presence and encouragement. May God bless us all.
