यह अर्हद्द महापूजन १६ वीं शताब्दी की शुरुआत में हुए श्री वर्धमान सूरिजी महाराज, आचार दिनकर नामक ग्रन्थ की रचना में शंतिकाधिकार नाम के ३४ वे अध्याय को अनुसरता है |

यह अर्हद्द महापूजन किसी के जन्म-मृत्यु के निमित से व् स्वर्गारोहण व् प्रसूति के निमित से नहीं करवा शकते | इस बात को ध्यान में रखना चाहिए |

यह महापूजन करवाने से व् शामिल होने से पापों का नाश होता है | रोग वो दोष शांत होते है | दुष्ट देवो, असुरों, व् मनुष्यों रूपी शत्रु दूर होते है | कल्याण और सभी प्रकार की सिद्धि होती है |

युद्ध में १०००० सैनिको पर विजय प्राप्त करना सरल हे , परन्तु राग-द्वेष को जितना , अज्ञानता का विनाश करना, विशिष्ट प्रातिहार्य एवं अतिशयो की सम्पति प्राप्त करना सरल नहीं हे | फिर भी जिनको प्राप्त हुई हे, ऐसे अरिहंत परमात्मा स्वरूप स्वामी ही सच्चे स्वामी हे, और ऐसे स्वामी ही सेवक को स्वामी बनाने के लिये शक्तिमान हे |

जो स्वयं (खुद) पार हो चुके है वो ही दुसरो आत्म ज्ञान (बोध ज्ञान) दिलाने एवं सही रास्ते पे ले जाने में समर्थ व् शक्तिमान बन शकते है | ऐसे श्री अरिहंत परमात्मा का जो सबसे बडा पूजन मतलब जैन दर्शन में अर्हद्द महा पूजन .....

हालाकि जैन दर्शन में ऋषि मंडल पूजन, विशस्थानक पूजन, , श्री सिद्ध चक्र पूजन आदि अनेक विधि अनुष्ठान हे, फिर भी उन सभी में अनोखी व् अद्भुत प्रतिभा वाला पूजन मतलब अर्हद्द महापूजन |

इस पूजन में पहले दिन सुबह अरिहंत परमात्मा की अद्भुत तरीके से भक्ति होती हे एवं दोपहर को २५ कुसुमांजलि विधान होता है |

दूसरे दिन अरिहंत परमात्मा आदि पंच परमेष्ठी, इन्द्र आदि दश दिक्पाल, मेष आदि १२ राशि, अश्विनी आदि २८ नक्षत्र, सूर्य आदि नव ग्रह, रोहिणी आदि १६ विध्या देवीया, गणपति आदि चतुर्निकाय देव, ऐसे सप्त पीठ का हवन के साथ पूजन किया जाता है |

हवन जैन अनुष्ठान में कई जगह होता आया है और वर्तमान समय में कुछ अनुष्ठान में होता है. ज्ञानी पुरुषों के कहे गए वचनों को जो हम मान्य रखते हे तो उनकी टीका के आधार पर पूज्य गुरुदेव के पसाय (उपदेश) से समझे और समझाया जा शकता है , दूसरी बात ये है की कोई भी महापुरूष के बनायी हुइ पूजा विधि का स्वीकार करे तो उसमे से कुछ विधि विधान निकाल देना हमारा कोनसा हक्क या अधिकार है ?

पूजन के तीसरे दिन परमात्मा के ८ और १०८ अभिषेक करने की अद्भुत कार्य आता है, उसके बाद कई तरीके की पूजा होती है और बाद में आभूषण पूजा आती है |

इस पूजा में यथाशक्ति खुद के शरीर पे पहने हुए आभूषण सामने रखे हुए थाल में रखने का एक अनोखा प्रसंग आता है , उस समय का माहौल बहुत ही सुन्दर, अद्भुत व् आनंद मय होता है | घर से कोई सोच के न आया हो फिर भी मूल्यवान चीजे आभुषण पूजा में रखने का मन हो जाता है, उसके बाद १०८ दिये की आरती, मंगल दिया व् अंत में शांति दंडक आता है |

यह शांति दंडक का एक अलग ही महत्व है | यह शांति दंडक मतलब महा पूजन का रहस्य | यह दंडक तीन बार होता है, पहले ३० मिनिट होता हे और वो सही में शांति कारक होता है, सभी भावना पूरी होती है, महा भाग्यशाली होता है वो ही इसमें शामिल होने का या शांति दंडक करने का लाभ ले शकता है| बाद में धारावही होती है और अर्हद्द महापूजन समाप्त होता है |
