Christian & Missionary Alliance of Gujarat We are Christian and missionary Alliance of Gujarat, Located in western Part of India in Gujarat State. Founded by Rev. Albert Benjamin Simpson. Mark B. Rev. E.J.

Albert Benjamin Simpson (A.B. Simpson) in 1887, the Christian & Missionary Alliance did not start off as a denomination, but rather began as two distinct parachurch organizations: The Christian Alliance which focused on the pursuit and promotion of the Higher Christian life and The Evangelical Missionary Alliance, which focused on mobilizing "consecrated" Christians in the work of foreign missionary efforts. These two groups amalgamated in 1897 to form The Christian and Missionary Alliance. It was only much later during the mid twentieth century that an official denomination was formed. It was not until 1882 when Rev. & Mrs. Fuller came as a Missionary of C&M A and visited city of Ahmedabad in the state Gujarat (then Maharastra). Fuller worked for 37 years in Gujarat before returning to his native in US in 1919. In 1893 C&MA started work in Gujarat and in 1993 Feb. 6 was celebrated as 100 years celebration under the Chairmanship of Rev. Bob Reed, Rev. Peter Nenfield and Rev. Entry as Gujarat mission chairman. Because of these missionaries, we are now saved in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We have burden to save and reach to those who are unreached. The existence of Christian and Missionary Alliance of Gujarat is the fruit of these missionaries hard work and foresight.

19એક‍ શ્રીમંત માણસ હતો, તે કિરમજી રંગનાં મુલાયમ વસ્‍ત્રો પહેરતો હતો, અને નિત્ય દબદબાસહિત મોજમઝા મારતો હતો. 20લાજરસ નામે એક ભિખારી જેને આખે શરીરે ફોલ્લા હતા, તે તેના દરવાજા આગળ પડેલો હતો. 21શ્રીમંતની મેજ પરથી પડેલા કકડા વડે તે પેટ ભરવા ચાહતો હતો. વળી કૂતરા પણ આવીને તેના ફોલ્લા ચાટતા હતા.
22તે ભિખારી મરી ગયો ત્યારે દૂતો તેને ઇબ્રાહિમની ગોદમાં લઈ ગયા. શ્રીમંત પણ મરી ગયો, અને તેને દાટવામાં આવ્યો. 23હાદેસમાં પીડા ભોગવતાં તેણે પોતાની આંખો ઊંચી કરીને વેગળેથી ઇબ્રાહિમને તથા તેની ગોદમાં બેઠેલા લાજરસને જોયા. 24તેણે મોટેથી કહ્યું, “ઇબ્રાહિમ પિતા, મારા પર દયા કરીને લાજરસને મોકલો કે, તે પોતાની આંગળીનું ટેરવું પાણીમાં બોળીને મારી જીભને ઠંડી કરે. કેમ કે આ બળતામાં હું વેદના પામું છું.’ 25પણ ઇબ્રાહિમે તેને કહ્યું, ‘દીકરા, તારા જીવનમાં તું સારી ચીજો પામ્યો હતો, અને લાજરસ તો ભૂંડી ચીજો [પામ્યો હતો] તે સંભાર; પણ હમણાં અહીં તે દિલાસો પામે છે અને તું વેદના પામે છે.26એ સર્વ ઉપરાંત, અમારી તથા તમારી વચમાં એક મોટી ખાઈ આવેલી છે, તેથી જેઓ અહીંથી તમારી પાસે આવવા‍ ચાહે, તેઓ આવી ન શકે, અને ત્યાંથી કોઈ અમારી પાસે આ પાર પણ આવી શકે નહિ.’ 27તેણે કહ્યું, ‘પિતા, હું વિનંતી કરું છું કે, તેને મારા પિતાને ઘેર મોકલો. 28કેમ કે મારે પાંચ ભાઈઓ છે કે, તે તેઓને સાક્ષી આપે, રખેને તેઓ પણ આ પીડાને સ્થળે આવી પડે.’ 29પણ ઇબ્રાહિમ કહે છે, ‘તેઓની પાસે મૂસા તથા પ્રબોધકો છે. તેઓનું તેઓ સાંભળે.’ 30તેણે કહ્યું, ‘ઇબ્રાહિમ પિતા, એમ નહિ; પણ જો કોઈ મૂએલાંમાંથી [ઊઠીને] તેઓની પાસે જાય, તો તેઓ પસ્તાવો કરે.’ 31તેમણે તેને કહ્યું, ‘જો મૂસા તથા પ્રબોધકોનું તેઓ નહિ સાંભળે, તો જો મૂએલાંમાંથી કોઈ ઊઠે, તોપણ તેઓ માનવાના નથી.”

27 “Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, 28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ 29 Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31 But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’ ”
