Audio Visual Technician

Hours: 5 hours every Sunday, special events as needed

The Audio Visual Technician will be responsible for setting up and operating audio, video, and lighting equipment for church services and events. They will work closely with the Pastor and event coordinators to ensure that all technical aspects of the service or event are running smoothly. The Audio Visual Technician will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing audio, video, and lighting equipment as needed.
Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate audio, video, and lighting equipment for church services and events
* Set up and operate audio and video equipment for live recorded Zoom meetings and events, respond to chat messages from viewers
* Work with the pastor and event coordinators to ensure that all technical aspects of the service or event are running smoothly
* Maintain and repair audio, video, and lighting equipment as needed
* Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and ready for use
* Train volunteers on the proper use of audio, video, and lighting equipment
* Stay up-to-date on new audio, video, and lighting technologies and make recommendations for upgrades as needed
* Work with church staff and leaders to provide audio-visual needs for church services and events as mentioned in above summary
* Lighting production
* Operating multiple cameras
* Live Streaming and video recording
* Oversees video production for worship services, including capturing, live streaming, editing, and uploading and sharing links in a timely manner
Qualifications:
* Associates degree in audio visual technology or related field, or equivalent experience
* Formal training in production or related discipline, with willingness to learn
* Strong knowledge of audio, video, and lighting equipment and technologies
* Experience setting up and operating audio, video, and lighting equipment for live events
* Detailed knowledge of live and streaming video environments
* Experience setting up and operating audio and video equipment for live events
* Experience with Zoom or similar video conferencing software
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
* Willingness to work weekends and evenings as needed
* Ability to effectively train volunteers
* Ability to prepare and present recommendations to the leadership team
Technical Skills:
Experience with Atem Software, Final Cut Pro and working with Behringer Audio Consoles, preferred but not required if skilled in similar software and hardware.
