Thanksgiving 2025 - A letter from our District Apostle Mark Woll

Every year, our dear District Apostle Mark Woll shares a Thanksgiving letter for us. This year too, he has written a heartfelt message, accompanied by a note of personal thanks. As he prepares for his upcoming retirement, these words carry special significance.

In his message, he reminds us that the right time to begin preparing for our Thanksgiving Day is today and now! He emphasized that our preparation for Thanksgiving is not limited to one day but is ongoing, every day, all year long.

Today, we celebrate our District Apostle Helper, David Devaraj's birthday! 🎉

For this special occasion, we sat down for a candid chat with him. Here's a glimpse into the inspiring conversation.

We began with a question about his favorite Bible verse. Apostle David started talking with a smile: "Not a very easy question to answer for the simple reason that the Bible just fascinates me. There are many verses that are special to me, particularly Psalm 23:6: 'Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.' This has been true in my life. I have been dwelling in the house of the Lord."

He continued, "Another favorite is from the life of Joshua, chapter 24, verse 15: '…choose this day whom you will serve.' And one more from Proverbs 3:5: 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding…'"

On staying connected to God, he shared, "It has become easier for me to trust God because I have experienced His presence my whole life. You get up in the morning, connect with God, and say, 'Oh God, I don't know what is waiting for me today, but I'm sure You know. Take me through this.' It is a constant connection throughout the day, which is very important."

When we delved into his personal interests, he shared, "I love the outdoors and find joy in nature. I enjoy driving into the wild, climbing, trekking, and exploring."

Reflecting on his youth, Apostle David shared a heartfelt story: "As a young kid, I fell sick and spent months in the hospital. During this period, my grandmother lovingly shared Bible stories with me and enthusiastically took me along as she shared them with other patients. This memory continues to inspire me. Later on, as an adventurous child, I often got lost in my worldly ambitions. But God always found a way to guide me back. He has planned my life, and every moment and turn has led me to where I am today. I have realized that the knowledge of God and salvation is a gift."

He then added, "For young people today, amidst the chaos and demands of life, I would say, 'Seek, and you will find.' Give your relationship with God sufficient time. Try God; He's truly dependable."

Apostle David concluded our conversation with an uplifting song, offering a special message for today’s youth "We have an anchor that keeps the soul, steadfast and sure while the billows roll; ... grounded firm and deep in the Savior's love."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR APOSTLE!

Born 64 years ago today, David Devaraj was ordained as an Apostle on 29 March 1998. With his responsibility as District Apostle Helper, our members and congregations in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal come under his care.

We wish him not only good health and happiness in life, but may he also continue to experience the Holy Spirit as a guide for his important work in the Church.

God says yes to our individuality, but no to egoism, which puts the focus on the person instead of on God.

> Egoism makes one cold and lonely.

> Nevertheless, Jesus does not give up on us. He causes us to radiate His love in a new and powerful way.

बिशप इमैनुएल जोनाथन के लिए

26 फरवरी, 2023 को डिवाइन सर्विस के उत्सव में, बिशप इमैनुएल जोनाथन ने जिला प्रेरित सहायक डेविड देवराज द्वारा अपना सेवानिवृत्ति आशीर्वाद (स्वास्थ्य आधार पर) प्राप्त किया।

बिशप जोनाथन का जन्म 23 फरवरी, 1968 को बीदर, कर्नाटक में हुआ था। उन्हें जनवरी 1996 में डीकन के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया था और 23 मार्च, 2002 को फिलीपींस में मुख्य प्रेरित रिचर्ड फेहर द्वारा बिशप मंत्रालय प्राप्त किया गया था।

बिशप ने एक संगोष्ठी शिक्षक, एक अनुवादक के रूप में कार्य किया और संगीत कार्यक्रम में सहायता की। उन्होंने कर्नाटक और तमिलनाडु राज्यों में, अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह में, महाराष्ट्र और तेलंगाना के सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में और विदेशों में श्रीलंका में काम किया है।

हम वर्षों से उनकी सेवा और समर्पण के लिए आभारी हैं।

Born 48 years ago today, Pravin Gajbhiv was ordained as an Apostle on 8 November 2013. He is one of seven active Apostles in India, currently caring for our members in ten districts (Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Central India).

We wish him not only good health and happiness in life, but may he also continue to experience the Holy Spirit as a guide for his important work in the Church.
