Pitchon Lev We, at Pitchon Lev, work to fulfill our ideology and vision – that there will be no hungry, poor or needy people in the State of Israel.

Since 1998 Pitchon Lev, a non-profit organization, has been at the forefront of raising the plight of the poor to the public agenda in Israel. We have extended a hand, through the friends of Pitchon Lev and a network of volunteers, to support people throughout Israel, irrespective of gender, religious affiliation, race, ethnicity or nationality.

Summer is made of all kinds of moments. Beach days, road trips, late sunsets... and unforgettable experiences that bring people together. This week, an inspiring group of Young Judaea took part in a OneDay Social Volunteering volunteer experience, bringing their energy, passion, and love for Israel to Pitchon Lev’s Humanitarian Aid Center. They rolled up their sleeves, packed hundreds of food parcels, and turned a summer day into meaningful action - supporting vulnerable families across Israel.
A little teamwork. A lot of heart. Hundreds of boxes packed with care. And Impact lasting an entire summer and beyond💙

Showing up for others is what builds a stronger community.
This week, a group of volunteers from Taglit-Birthright Israel (through Sachlav Israel joined us at Pitchon Lev’s Rishon LeZion Humanitarian Aid Center to pack food parcels for vulnerable families. Coming from abroad and braving the summer heat, these volunteers showed that kindness knows no borders. Poverty is more than a lack of resources. It can lead to isolation and the feeling of being forgotten. At Pitchon Lev, we provide more than essential support. We create connections, restore dignity, and remind people that they are not alone. Thank you to the Taglit-Birthright Israel volunteers for standing with us and helping strengthen the bonds that hold our community together.

The flags of Israel and countries from around the world waved proudly on stage as the Opening Ceremony brought together more than 10,000 athletes from 60 countries in a powerful celebration of resilience, unity, and Jewish pride.
The impact doesn't stop in the stadium. Through Pitchon Lev's partnership with Maccabiah – מכביה , donated sports gear will help bring dignity, hope, and opportunity to vulnerable families and children across Israel.

Proud and beyond excited to share that Pitchon Lev has been awarded the 2026 Speaker of the Knesset Prize!
This award is a national recognition of our work in lifting families and individuals out of poverty through our wide-ranging activities. It reflects our efforts during the war, supporting evacuees, soldiers, and communities across the south and north, and is a powerful affirmation of our mission.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Speaker of the Knesset and the prize committee for this meaningful honor. It is a tribute to our team and to the tens of thousands of volunteers who turn this vision into reality.
To our staff, volunteers, donors, partners, and above all the recipients of our support who choose us every single week - this award is yours.
We will continue working to improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of Israelis and to advance our vision of breaking the cycle of poverty in Israel.

We were thrilled to welcome Ruben Richard Mascarenhas from Mumbai, India, to Pitchon-Lev’s Humanitarian Center! A lawyer, technologist, and social activist, Ruben is one of the founders and leaders of Khaanachahiye Foundation - KCF an innovative organization fighting hunger in India through technology, policy advocacy, and community action.
During his visit, Ruben learned about Pitchon-Lev’s work providing immediate assistance and distributing food parcels to thousands of people in need, including families, senior citizens, people with disabilities, new immigrants, single-parent households, and lone soldiers.
While our organizations operate on opposite sides of the world, we share a common goal: building a future where no one goes hungry.
